Love how things are going i've started reading your thread and let me say wow! i cannot belive the heads u got under those flouros. Thats amazing. how much did each one of those flouro setups cost? $$ US or AUS $$ how much are the bulbs ? are they like cool white or gro lux or something special ??? r these ho flourescents? whats the difference between these and regular ones? Sorry i've never seen flouros used like this with the results & sorry for all questions only on page 30. Check out My grow. im in process of upgrading tell me what u think. cheers madazz

ok.. so each of the floros were about $500.00 US.. dunno what the AUS conversion is... each bulb i believe is about $35.00... they come with 4 bulbs.. your choice of grow or veg... so they have different bulbs for each stage... yes they are high output floros.. tt105 bulbs... the difference is that each of the single bulbs puts out 11,000 lumes.. so each ballast is 44,000 lumens.. they run really cool.. hottest they get is like 90 degrees.. they are really efficient.. and can be kept SUPER close..

how would you compare those flourescents you have compared to hps lights?

How different do you think your yield would of been if you had hps lights instead?

I only ask cuz i have been following your grow for a while and I have a 2x1000 watt flower room set up while my plants are vegging now. I cant wait to flip them to flower, and my goal for this grow is 2 lbs. I currently have about 16 babies at about 2 weeks from seed and plan to vegg for another 2 or 3 weeks and then flip to flower. Do you think i will be able to reach my goal if i can get my temps under control?(both lights on are at a staggering 95 degrees!) Not good! I only ask cuz ur title of ur thread said 4000 watts and i saw that you are hoping to pull 2 lbs. I was hoping to pull 2lbs off of just 2000 watts. Thats why i asked the whole flourescent question. Thanks for your help!

i would say my floros could keep up with any hps grow... its sorta hard to say tho.. since these floros are only 400ws its not a fair comparison of a 600 or 1000w hps to them.. but i can almost garuntee if they did make a 1000w floro ballast like mine it would beat out an hps...

i dont know how different the yield would have been with an HPS... maybe more maybe less... again its hard saying because i am using 1600w's of these.. and so it would depends on how you got the 1600ws of hps.. i would imagine my yield is higher than if i would have used 4 - 400w hps lamps.. and similar to if i used 3 - 600's or a 1000 and 400 combined.. but again i dont know.. i guess best way to see would be to compare it to tilemasters harvest and see what he got... that would tell somewhat..

you should VERY easily beable to hit 2lbs. with 2000ws.. even with a higher temp.. as long as you have good air flow and exchange.. 95 can be too hot if you dont have good intake/exhaust.. but if you do 95 can be very tolerable... anyways.. 2lbs off of 2000ws is only about .5grams per watt... you should expect closer to 3+ pounds tho... 1 gram per watt would be over 4 pounds.. but.. i would say hitting 2 pounds should be no problem for you at all!! i am hoping to pull 10+ off the 4000ws.. we'll see tho..

good veg time is key to large buds.. but you can still get dank ass buds off little girls too!! just depends on if the girl herself hit her full maturity level or not...

there not a indica ...or sativa..ruderalis i believe..they flower based on age and maturity 6-8weeks..not on light change..so basically ss can flower them in his veg room real small like ..pimp idea i just caught on to it...

bro it took me 17 hours total with 1 other person helping to trim all these bitches.. HOLY FUCK!! i way made my goal... its sick.. look at all the other shit i harvested... but that ends up being about 45 minutes a girl... something like that.. 22 girls / 17 hours...

first i strip the bull shit fan leaves off.. then i trim everything while its wet.. saving all the trimmings for hasg.. then i hang and dry for about 5 days and cure for 3 or 4 days.. thats for my commercial stuff.. my personal stuff i dry for 7 and cure for 7,...

seems to make everyone happy.. the commercial isnt 100% of what it could be with a 7 day dry and 7 day cure.. but by the time it gets to the final smokers its were it should be

couple notes..

first.. the girls that you see that arent in the pot.. which i think are the first three girls you see broke down.. couldnt support their weight once i cut their supports.. i mean they feel over.. so i had to cut them down and take their pic individullay... the first 4 pics are the girl with the largest cola..ended up as big as my forearm and weighed in at a staggering 136 grams wet... i can not WAIT until i see my final weight...

also the rubermaid lid you see is more like 18" x 24"

thirdly the huge pile of branches with the 2 colas on the right DID come off of 1 plant.. i think she'll end up giving me 6 to 8 ounces herself... again all the buds are ROCK hard so i dont plan on losing as much weight during drying...

i ended up with an insane hash ball ive smoked on all day and over a pound of clippings to use for bubble hash... i have NO idea how much ill get.. but you can see in the last few pics how much trimmings i got..

lastly you can see all the buds i have hung.. its 5 1/2 rows that stretch 4 ft.. plus what you see on the big screen drying..

any ideas on final weight??

tomorrow i am setting up the hydro system and transplanting my new girls!!

never had any issues with mold or bud rot on my girls... and the commercial isnt as done as id want it to be.. but its still done...

the key is to have good circulation around the buds.. if you keep air moving around your buds you are almost garunteed not to have any problems... i have my exhaust fan still goin plus my oscilating fan...

oh hell no.. i would never do that!! after spendin all this time on these girls i want them to be dank as hell for whoever gets it... it pisses me off to when you get some shit that someone dried wrong or cured wrong.. spend money on something that ends up to be shit.. i wont let my partner have it until it is done drying the right way.. i just had to chop early to meet deadlines... not gonna rush the important part at all..

i want a high yielding strain.. but i also want it to be potent.. thats why i am so interested in super lemon haze.. supposed to be up to a 700 gram indoor yield and is like 22 or 23% thc content.. super yielder and super potent.. with an 8 to 9 week flower time...

those Canadians have the commerical crops figured out great. Ive seen super dense nugs that were completely covered in white trichromes, but yet the potency wasnt nearly as good as what you think it would be.

some of the strongest buds i have smoked before had few trichs.. its weird.. but true.. sadly the area i live in is stuck with the buds that are grown in the area.. so i dont know much of the outside world of buds beyond what i see on here and in high times and shit.. i need to start traveling and seeing the wide world of buds!
