moning gents, how things growing. i spen the whole day working in the yard geting my flower bed all replanted after the kids used it as a sand box, play ground.......LOL i'll post some pics of my new yard.

the smoke is great.. not harsh at all... super fuckin stone to... very up and intense at first.... the mellows out... then about 5 or 6 hours later its night night time... its like a 1-2-3 punch all in one... perfect almost... ill explain more below...

during the light period of 12/12 the girls are absorbing light energy and storing it for bud production... true, the main growth happens at night... the girls pretty much sit dormant during the day waiting to get pollenated.. when it doesnt happen that day they push their flowers out more and bigger to try again tommorow... so on and so forth.. BUT.. the light period is equally as important as the dark period, even if most growth occurs at night.. this is because they still need all the light to store up energy to make the flowers.. if they dont have the energy to back the growth, the growth wont happen... i dont know about a 12/14 cycle... personally i wouldnt try it... one setting your timers would be a pain in the ass since you would almost have to readjust them every day or set them for like a week... the light cycle would get fucked up... not to mention they have grown under a total of 24 hours of light their entire life.. i dont know what screwing with the amount of hours in their "days" would do...

i always have given my girls 36 straight before flowering... its sped up flowering for me each harvest.. i really imagine i would still have a week to go on flowering if i didnt do that this rip...

so im not in the best of moods today... firstly, as ive said already.. i fell short of my goal... i only got 1.5 lbs total... which ends up at about .45 grams per watt... now as dissapointed as i am i didnt make it... the reality with the way the girls grew last time is, well, i am lucky i made that much... really i shouldnt be too pissed.. for being over potted, being moved from one environment to another, being CRAZY root bound, and sorta of being rushed at the end, i made out pretty well...

so whats this mean...

well it means i cant expand the entire way i want... which sucks.. BAD.. i REALLY wanted to with this harvest... so TM.. you'll be way ahead even if you do start late it also means that i am just going to get the 2 new HO floros... which is nice...

im trying to look at the positive side and think about it in terms of this.. i have my hydro grow started... i will be adding an extra 88,000 lumens to this grow regardless with the floros when i get them... its that much less i have to invest in next time.. plus it will give me a chance to get my window setup and the fresh air intake ran and do a couple other mods to the room without having a bunch of equipment laying around and stuff... i can spend a little more time trying out supercropping and see what the results are as far as yield comparisons than i would have otherwise... basically just tryin to make myself feel better...

i dont think i will dry them like that again.. im not sure if the lights overly dried them.. or if i was bound to get 1.5 lbs either way.. i mean, is it possible the lights just dried them out too much too fast and i lost more weight than i should have?? the buds arent crumbly at all.. they arent brittle.. which leads me to think i was just going to get 1.5 all along.. guess its just hard to tell sometimes... oh.. on a possitive note tho.. the giant cola did remain over 40 grams total

the part that i am worried about comes when i have to take clones... its not the clones im worried about.. but wtf im going to do with them once i have them rooted.. unless i take them a couple weeks into flowering.. and then transplant them into dirt again.. and hope that they arent ready for veg before next harvest.. im sorta fucked.. know what i mean.. my timing is going to be WAY off... but i guess i will have a couple extra lights.. i can always remove one from flowering and use it as a temporary veg light right? i suppose either way ill get it done... just sorta a bummer i am not where i wanted to be... but shit happens and you gotta roll with the punches right.... this punch just sorta took the wind out of me...

if you can bend that stem after its been hanging then the light did not dry them out to much.

I feel u ss...can u full boat any of it to make up for the loss? hey i didnt get shit if u figure my 2k in the equation..but itll do for now..damn i wish u were closer , and i could kick u like 10 of those large clones bro..i would too..

yeah.... fuck....... i was just bound to get 1.5 the entire time.. crazy thing is it was almost EXACTLY 1.5... i had 5 grams of "shakey" shit from trimming the buds off the stems.. other than that it made it exactly 24 ounces...

cant really add in anymore to the grow.. which sucks.. i mean i could.. but the extra work isnt much worth it.. plus ill get a GOOD idea of how far i can veg the girls in this room and how long it'll take... i guess this grow will be SS 2.0 Bumper prt.2... LOL

i would be shit grinnin if you could send them clones.. damn.. that would set me straight.. oh well.. someday right?? its not the end of the world.. just a few month set back.. best thing is i know without a doubt i can make it next harvest.. so.. the light at the end of the tunnel is still there... just the car broke down half way through the tunnel..

youwill next time. im still shooting for 1.5 pound off one plant in doors with a 60 day veg time... getting close i'll hit my mark one day, till then its fun as hell trying

oh yeah.. my goal for the new setup when i get there will be 1 per plant... at least 12 ounces a plant.. but 1 pound is the goal.. i like falling short a little.. only because it keeps me pushing next time... just to keep me on my toes a little ya know...

very nice.... i would love to be able to utilize my yard like you can... all the space i have is just filled with grass.. how fuckin boring... LOL i have plans for landscaping and shit.. just wont be till next year more than likely...

i hate to ask this since i havent even got a good grow under my belt; but arent you supposed to get more yield from smaller plants filling your entire area rather than trying to get a bunch off one plant?

its sorta a toss up... you get about the same yield either way you grow.. the turn over for smaller plants can be quicker.. but you dont get more yield.. its a difference in bud size i think... would you rather have a bunch of 1 ounce buds or 1/4 ounce buds?? theres more that plays into it.. but that is really the basic thing.. plus... if something bad happens they go by how many plants you have.. not the size... so its better for someone like me to have fewer larger plants than a bunch of smaller plants... plus.. the way i plan on running my room.. ill have both smaller and larger anyways.. but thats all postponed now...

oh im not too bummed... my and my partner decided we're going to add 2 400w HPS lights to the veg room right now instead of 2 more floros... couple reasons..

first reason they are cheaper and money is shorter on his end than he thought... so we save a few hundred dollars... second reason is that the lumatek digital ballasts will run both hps and mh bulbs... so since we have to flower one more time on the veg side of the room we can utilize hps lights and when they are shot we can switch to MH since it will be just a veg room at that point.. reason we are doing 400's is this.. although the HPS 600's are most efficient, the 400w MH are WAY more efficient than 600w MH.. and since i'll will be using MH for veg growth after this grow it makes more sense to get the 400's now.. so in about 1 week i'll have the 4 floros plus 2 hps lamps up and running...

I just ordered one after that....It should be here Wednesday....

the key to it is lighting tho.. if you plan on growing a few larger plants then you will want larger lamps for penetration.. where as if you are doing a smaller sog grow you can use smaller lamps... either way you want to cool the shit out of them so they can be close to the canopy... but you dont need the 3ft of penetration you get from a 1000w HPS if you are only growin plants that are 1.5ft tall when your done flowering.. make sense??

whats goin on slip-dog? that sucks about the auction.. i hate fuckin ebay for that reason.. gettin outbid on some shit sucks.. ive had an auction that i was the only bidder on for a week... and then at the last minute like 40 poeple bid on it and i lost.. i was SHITTY... so i feel ya... that would have been a GREAT deal tho..
