thanks for your help! i was also wondering what does it do when you let your plants sleep for 24hours before you start to flower?

not bad for a stoner with no carpentry experience!!
No suprise to me man. Us thoughtful, caring potheads (as opposed to dumb thugs and teenagers) are connected with the world, and how it works. Things talk to us, like building materials, and plants. We have a greater understanding us physics... becuase we are connected.

Sorry if that sounds hokey, but I beleive it. I truly beleive that there are powers in pot smoke, if you let them work.

Just wondering if you started with the puple maxx?
No, thanks for checking though. I don't know what my poor little clones are going to do. I'm not sure if they will ever make it out of the bookshelf.

That's the real reason I want these plants to finish, is to start on the next grow.

I feel like the first 12 hour dark period is the signal to the plants it's fall and time to flower. So just to make that message clear to the plants I let them get a 24 hour dark period.

I've seen fancy explanations of what the 24 hour dark period might do scientifically, but I don't know about all that. I'm smart, but not that smart... I just think it sends a clear message.

Thanks for stopping by. I know my journal is getting a little boring... sorry.

Not boring bro, not boring. We are hooked on each word in anticipation of that eventuality of the harvest. We are patiently scaning our e-mails waiting for the magic one that says you thread has a response, then we rush to your thread and savoiour each word as it is laid out apon the screen, hopeing with each paragraph that this will be that magic one, the great sentence that says "I just cut my plants" and with that a huge cheer will go accross RIU, as jigfresh, the man with patence of a saint, has harvested his great crop. Though with this a small amount of sorrow will befall us, for one of the greatest first grows on RIU has ended. Then we will fill your clone thread in droves, and a new cycle begins!!

I want full detailed smoke reports :joint:
Thank you guys for the complements.

Ninja... I have only so far smoked some hindu skunk that wasn't ready yet. I didn't dry it long enough, and no cure. It got me high though.

The White Widow brach I cut last week is pretty much dry... I got 1.5 grams off it. Really airy stuff. It's not going to be much to smoke either. I'm going to wait a few days before I try that.

Do not worry about me providing a complete wrap up when this thing is complete.

There will be pictures of the whole harvest process, showing you guys what I chop in what order and how I do it (so all the other scrogger can copy). I show how I trim... what I will end up doing with all the extra trim. Wet weights on some things just for fun. Dry weights on everything.

I'm going to harvest plants on their own (unless they finish together). I'm going to keep things separated as well, so I know what came from which plant, and what was under the MH vs. the HPS.

I also have started a list of thankyous, been trying to work through the thread... damn this thread is long, haha. I talk too damn much.

Not weird at all... the resin is calling you.

My trich report is this... on the tips to halfway down the leaves (sticking out of the buds) are almost all amber. As you move along the leaf to the center the trichs become more cloudy. On the actual buds/ calyxs (sp?) the trichs are pretty much All cloudy... we have rid ourselves of the clear ones. Maybe 10% Amber trichs.

I'm filling up water bottles as we speak to make the rez strait water. I think I'll still add some Zone to make sure nothing gross goes on in there.

I have been making it winter. The girls have spent 2 days with 11.30/ 12.30 Light dark... and today will be 11/13. The sun is setting on them.

My biggest problem or question is that the buds (at least half of them) are still growing and swelling and making new growths of bud coming out of the buds. This is nice an all and I could just let them go till christmas.... but now I'm thinking about the whole yield/ time thing. I mean growing bomb herb is the idea, but it taking 5 monthes to grow some 2 foot tall indicas seems too long. My clones are suffering and I feel like this harvest is killing my next harvest.

No complaints... closet full of pot. Smells better each day. The White Widow looks more amazing each day. Leaves are putting on quite a display too... really putting on a grand finale.

I took pictures last night.... becuase I had a feeling you would ask.

I took a video too.... I think it should look good becase apparently my camera's video feature has a macro setting I didn't realize. So I used it this time.

Thanks for checking up on my jesse. I think I may be chopping one of the plants Sat or Sun. But at this rate I really wouldn't be surprised if I didn't cut anything before next friday (sigh).

The white widow has all the light yellow leaves.

The outdoor shots are of my drive down my mountain (we bought tile for the new tub).

The shot of the bowl, was the first bowl I smoked of the White Widow.... it reminded me of high school. We used to get what we called "B grade"... about $35 an eighth... I always wondered how you could have pot inbetween shwag (dirt, mex, whatever you call it) and chronic. I think now it was chronic that someone didn't know how to grow. It definitely made me 'not sober', but I don't know if I'd say it got me high. Tasted pretty bad too, haha. It's curing now, don't know if it will ever taste that good. I'm happy with my little 1.5 gram sneeker stash though. I didn't have to buy it, so that's good.

Some of that Hindu "looks done" from the pics. I like the idea of straight water. No h202?

Gosh what a great job you have done!

Thanks a lot fellas.

I think I'm going to cut a couple buds either later tonight or tomorrow. The ones that aren't still growing.

And the bottles are full, so the draining is commencing.

And yeah... I'm going with strait water. Nothing else. I like the idea too.

It's last call and these girls are getting cut off (lushes).

Hey hulk... this actually reminds me of what Randy Johnson was saying yesterday. In case people don't follow MLB Baseball, Randy Johnson is a tall, left handed, strike-out pitcher. He's been playing 22 seasons and is 45 years old. Just yesterday he bacame the 24th person (i think 24) to reach 300 wins for his career. He had a long press conference which I watch some of.

The thing he said that really stuck out to me was that this accomplishment (300 wins) has truly made him appreciate what others have done before him. He said the more he plays and the more he does the more it makes him respect the sacrifices and work other pitchers have put into the craft.

I too would like to have that view, so that after my harvest it's not that I feel like "look at what an amazing job I have done" but rather... "wow, me and all the other people that do this.... we work hard"

I like your attitude hulk... it has been one of the nice parts of this journal.

Hey Jig man, so how long have you been flowering these girls for now. Must be something like 50-60 days now, right?

Look for pictures of our grow soon. Ours are growing fat and frosty now, but it looks like we still have a ways to go. :weed:

73 days today. I should have grown sativas with this patience.

I was going to cut a plant down last night but a friend/ neighbor came over and we had too much fun.

Today me and my neighbor/ friend are going to tile my bathroom and finish building a brick wall. He owes me favors.

Anyways, I am telling you all becuase I won't have a chance to cut today.... so tomorrow I beleive it will be. But even then I'm pretty busy, I bought my wife Tickets to see Andrea Bocelli at the Hollywood Bowl. And I'm supposed to help someone work on a resume, that should be super exciting, haha.

So I'm saying by monday night you all will definitely see one plant hanging upside down.... and maybe more.
