One need only look at the evidence of an afterlife (nil to none) to know that the probability is extremely low.

Now if we examine the studies of peoples "willingness and desire" to believe in superstitions, then we're getting into high probability territory.......
No Cracker, what you are "getting on to" is what you painstakingly must believe to get through a day. Some people have a desperate need for every single thing to be black and white with no chance of grey. Life doesn't work that way, it just doesn't.

Some people might argue that it DOES work in black or white... everything (as far as we know) is controlled by the laws of the physical universe around us. Light can only go so fast, for example.

I see your point Coyote....in fact, I've noted several others points. The only message I've really attempted to convey is that mere man does not have all of the answers. The most intelligent of man uses what percentage (in actuality) of their brain?
People who hold strongly to this proclamation that ghosts, God or other paranormal "possible" occurrences are just an "absolute fiction" are not allotting room for anything other than what they can possibly comprehend. I just don't proclaim to live in a world of absolutes.

Babs, ive provided you with facts, proof, historical examples, reasons for why religion should be put down like a rabid dog, ect etc. on the other hand, you shifted the blame onto a religion thats not yours, accused me of being a muslim (and then denied making that accusation), and generally made what you think are 'intelligent' comments, all of which pointed to your assumption that I am an "angry little kid". Thus, you have shown youreself to be much, much further down the line of ignorance than my single derrogative slang of you being a douchebag. from now on I see that youre exactly like the 99% of the other creationists out there - fighting for a lost cause and refusing to admit that it was lost for over 150 years - since darwin published a book called "evolution by means of natural selection".

I'm afraid its pointless arguing with you, so i aint gona waste my time.

I don't think man has all of the answers either. However, if one is missing the ABC'S of something....sticking in XYZ doesn't cut it. I'd rather not know than make it up.

Based upon the probabilities of REALITY. The totality of life is not based on opinion. There are bottom lines.

Perspectives don't change probabilities. Probabilities changes perspective.
Let's just say I'm going to agree to disagree.
My totality of life could or could not be measured on either perspective, opinions, or probabilities...or thereof the balance of them all.--based on WHO is judging/assessing/analyzing.
Geez, I could go in a thousand different directions with this. My grandparents didn't grow up with vehicles, a television, cell phones, computers, etc. Could you even begin to imagine what their general "perspectives" would be in that era?.....which really was not that long ago.

I most definitely believe in 'ghosts'/'spirits' 'angels' and 'demons' on earth...
That stuff is NO joke.
I've had some very scary experiences with poltergeists and such. I've also seen what I believe to be ghosts..
I SWEAR I have... it's giving me the chills right now cause I"M SO BAKED! WOAH! this is crazy!. lol
So yeah, my cat was looking at something all crazy like, then followed it like someone was running, and then she ran into the bathroom of this apt. my family was living in... and it was just like, WOAH!!
I swore I saw two 'flashes' sorta.. like images or what have you? it was very eerie, I was like, WOAH SHASTA!!

and my sister saw my eldest sister Maria get posessed or something, she was in the air floating on a bed, BEING TWISTED AND SHAKEN! it was crazy... Maria said she saw her in retrospect and it was like, she could just see herself shaking, and Madena crying and going nutso not knowing what to do, but like, she was in the corner... viewing herself being posessed or something!...
That was on Guam... that's some reaaaall stuff boy. I'll tell you!

"Oh brother"
And I accused you of being a muslim....wow. READ. How does a person make so many "stated facts" when they can't even comprehend a simple sentence? Capiche?

The best scientists in the world can't even explain gravity yet, except in rudimentary terms, because it is so hard to reproduce in any volume. They do know that it is closely related to space, time, and mass. Here is a form of energy so basic to everything that goes on around us, yet almost a complete mystery. Once scientists do figure it out, I think alot of other things will fall into place.

While it cannot be explained to the Nth degree of accuracy, it is KNOWN to exist... see the difference?

Gravity is a stronger theorem than G*D or Ghosts....

Anyone that wants to fight about religion, take it into a PM.
I believe in Creation. But I hate bickering about it on the air, on the web, out in the open.

Big Bang Theory:
God Said "Let there be the Heavens and the Earth." And it was. *BAM* Big Bang Theory.

Let us believe what we want to.

Flip a coin.
Heads or tails.
(T)If a believer believes and there is NO God. Then what? -Nothing, he lived a good hearted life.
(H)If a believer believes and there IS a God, then he prevails.

(T)If a NON believer doesn't believe and there is NO God. Then what? -Nothing.
(H)If a believer believes and there IS a God, THEN HE GOES TO HELL.

Now, whatever YOU want to believe, I don't care. And we as Christians(Whoever is one, whatever idc) try to show you guys that, but it doesn't matter.

I read it says in the Bible, "Just as an old man has been warned that his house is going to be robbed, he would be foolish to leave it unattended. You have been warned the days of the coming of Christ are well, COMING!"

That's some deep stuff to think about.

Besides, my ~~~great uncle isn't a FREAKING CRAB or a JELLY FISH or a MONKEY.

But damn Cracker......that's only because YOU, "personally" have not experienced it. Come on now.

LOL Sailent.....that's one way of putting it.....and AMEN.
For those who will jump on me for being a "creationist".....simply means YES. Get over it.

Religion is the impediment of truly thinking about "this stuff". Therein lies the problem. Without ANY evidence, religion says it has all the answers. Many many people have been tortured and killed through the centuries by the church who questioned this ill gotten dogma of incompleteness. Only now has science been able to pull back the curtain on Religion to let us all view that there is no one behind there. At least not anyone our religions are based upon...not surprising, since it's made up.

What have you experienced different from me? A voice? A "feeling'? Explain.

Certainly more ppl believe in gravity than a personal creator.

Wasn't this thread about ghosts? LOL.....it's always funny to see how determined some are to make it about "those nutty Christians."
"If you only had faith as small as a mustard seed"......Look, I'm not here to draw people towards Christianity.
At the same time, God HAS proven Himself to me, time and time again.

When Moses died, he got to at least overlook the land of Joseph? and "then Joseph and the Israelites(?) crossed the Jordan River ON DRY LAND. as they walked across, Joseph was commanded to make some guys take BOULDERS across the river to prove that they crossed it on dry land.
THEY ARE THERE TO THIS DAY."

I'm very curious on if they are, but I would LOVE to go there just to see.. I'd probably need a camel or two, and some headgear. :P

I just wanted to put that out there, there's a bunch of stuff that goes on like that.

Even in the egyptian days, they wrote about rivers flowing with blood. -the Jordan river being dried up.. etc

I don't wanna fling it around, but Amen to that. lol

I haven't doubted His presence 'since. I'm very happy where I'm at in that area... I think everyone needs a Jimminy Cricket of some sort.

This bowl is almost done, I've been tokin on it this entire time!

Yes, it does exist. But, what type of energy is it and how is it related to space, time? And to what extent could it possibly explain other phenomenon. I'm not big on God or ghosts either but, any 'legitimate' phenomenon has to be part of the mathematical and elemental equation of the universe. The problem with God and ghosts is that it relies to heavily on personal beliefs and eyewitness accounts to be truly 'legitimate'.
