i 110% belive in the paranormal..used to be a free time ghost hunter. i stayed 2 nights in a northern ohio defunct child/teenage mental asylum,i have to say those two nights changed my life forever.i heard and saw amd heard things that really fucked with me for awhile (i.e an old elevator that hadnt worked in about 25 years randomly started up and lights started flashing on and off now remember what i said earlier, about how it was defunct? well i mean no power whatsoever for that amount of time and on top of that the closest sign of civilization was about 30 miles in the other direction! i was completly alone (of human compainionship that is) but as for other things i still to this day 10 years later belive i was surrounded by something not in the norm. this is why i dont ghosthunt anymore i was very frightend for many years about what i saw/heard. shit...this is the first time i have really even spoke of the matter in like 6 years..i saw many dark figures and heard screams and cries, many footsteps were heard (almost like running in fear at one point)...anyone ever had a similar xperience? let me know

I'm not sure I agree with that. Certainly ppl insist on having seen things not of this world. Some very credible testimonies have been given over the years. I do think something is happening. But exactly what is happening? Let's be objective.....

So, what is a ghost?

Is it cognitive? Responsive? Is it being perceived by you, or is it being projected by you?

Is it an echo of something previous? Like a ripple on a lake of time and space reverberating back across an intersecting spectrum of which you are able to hear or catch a fleeting glimpse in specific locations and at specific times.

I dunno, you tell me, but I want FACTS to support this notion.
....Or is that previous echo REALLY something that did indeed occur? Are we doubting what truly adheres to idle spoken truth?......or quite the opposite?

You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!!

facts are in short supply when dealing with the paranormal. There is such a pervasive culture of hucksters built into the field, it is difficult to separate the wheat from the chafe.

I too was afraid of ghosts as a kid, hell even Freddy Kruger, BUT i became a man and realized what the world is. It is life or death. Everything lives then dies, but you can do everything possible and moral to prevent death. .. And im not talking about people, im talking about everything. We are all part of one thing, Earth. There is nothing else that matters to life than to survive. Ghosts are not part of this world. They are created to scare children from doing certain things (like running the streets at night) yet some people do not interpret the correct hypothesis and develop mental instabilities, which can not be successfully changed through therapy, so the unexplainable is precieved as explainable through probable cause.

Air is real, water is real, the sun is real. Believe in the real and youll live much longer, trust me :peace:

Your truth is not my truth, and his truth is not your truth, and her truth is not his truth .........and so on and so on.
Trust me, it's not, nor will it ever be---in "this" existence. :peace:

Trust me i dont think there is much that can scare me anymore these days. I used to be TERRIFIED of heights, then i started racing motorcross and lost that fear on a 90 rolling double in 5th gear. edit:Forgot to mention i was 17

...Once you go to the edge you dont need to look back.

EDIT: aloha

Ghosts are created by the weak-minded who do not understand true reality.

Real talk :joint:

hahahaha you mean like the ghost that people go to church every sunday to worship? to me the catholic higharchy is probably the biggest group of weak minded people in the universe..please watch bill marhs religulous. i mean come on its BULLSHIT that i belive in the afterlife but there are people that dedicate there whole life to a fairytale book with "possibly" true stories? and people who may or may not exsisted? im sorry i think anyone who belives in santa clause, the easter bunny, the great pumpkin or even jesus are crazy. but hey to each his own right?

jesus....(no pun intended...or is there) :?

Good burn dude ... I mean way to bring up an old topic. ...FYI religion is supposed to be used as a metaphor and not as an higharchy of power. Man destroyed religion, just as man will destroy everything else in its path. Its human nature, we can never control it.

But seriously ghosts are feared by children... I mean even if ghosts are real i still wouldnt be scared. Whats the ghost going to do haunt me? lol OOooOooOoooooo buuugggitty boooooooo

i can not believe im the only one who doesnt believe in ghosts :-?
