My first Grow / Grow Room

Sup peeps, im fairly new here and already see you guys rock. I have been wanting to grow my own for a while now, because im such a fuckin pot head :joint::joint::joint: you know. Since ive been reading threads on here its really made me want to make my own Grow room. So i did.

I started a few weeks ago, and this is what i got with my own 2 hands and like 200 bucks of birthday money :hump: I think pics say way more then i can, so im going to just show you what ive got.



FYI: Ive got a 400W HPS setup with a MH Conv. bulb for Veg.
a fan for sucking out air, and 2 oscilating fans.
Just started them about a week and a half ago some 21-18-18 in 1/4 str, and 1/2 str soon.
Any comments to improve are wanted, and appreciated thanks.

What kind of fan are you using to exhaust your "room"? I didn't see a inline fan or carbon filter. You gotta exhaust the "exhausted" co2 and odor somehow. When flowering, unless you don't mind your house smelling like high heaven, I'd look into some kind of Inline fan/Carbon Filter combo. You can get one less than $160 on htgsupply.com I recommend the 4" fan and carbon filter combo. Its what I use and does wonders. Check my grow journal, I have something similar to your room, but a tad fancier. ;)

Im using a high power shop fan I found out in my shed, the side of it said it has equivilent to 400 CFM; and i just put a regular old AC duct filter on it atm :shock: it seems to be working atm but i will most deffinately look into a carbon filter or some sort.

Also i have a c02 tank, but im in need of one of those dispensers that let out Co2 in intervals; Any help with this would be awesome.

awesome, i think a buddy of mine has something that looks just like that; Im going to see if i cant bum it off of him for the free :joint:

I was thinking about it; and my growroom is in the far back of my property in the shed, and theres no neighbors for at least 100ft in everydirection, Do you think the weed smell would still be able to reach them?

Im using Scotts soils from lowes; I remember seeing a forum and a lot of people seemed it was alright so i decided to just try it; ( and lowes is like right down the street :joint: )
I also added in some dolomite lime, a little peat moss, vermiculite and perlite to help richen it up

just started nuting them 1/4 str with 21-18-18 a week ago, going to switch to 1/2 str here soon.

I want to bud them when they get about another ft or ft and a half, what do you guys thinks?

I can't see how tall they are.
But I start budding mine when their like 8-10 inches tall.
At harvest their like 30 - 34 inches tall.
I usually get 1.5 - 2 oz per plant.

damn thats not to bad for just 8-10 inches at veg.

Mine are about 10-12 inched right now, so i think imma go ahead and start 12/12 on them tonight;
Lets see how that goes, and thanks a lot

dude, I would wait until you reach at least week 4 or 5 before you switch to 12/12... usually you get a better female ratios and general yield if you wait for the plants to show pre-flowers before setting the flowering light schedule.

yeah ive heard i could get hermies by stressing them to early; I guess i could wait another week, and smoke some more dodo:joint::hump:
