I didn't ask if you believed "in them." I merely asked if you believed they existed.
Why are athiests so adamant to believe that those who believe a God exists, and is worthy of worship, are just total freaks?
I don't know Poplar. If aliens were to pay us all a visit and somehow offer mankind (as we know it) the ultimate solution to ALL of our problems, I feel pretty safe in saying that "we" might just kiss-ass
Is it not "theory" that aliens have visited us to warn us? :peace:

tbh, fuck aliens, fuck ghosts, fuck god/creationism, and all other types of pseudoscience. any1 that believes in that ANY of the things i listed influenced this planet in ANY way is either tripping or handycapped, u gota be. untill something happens that actually physically does something that affects someone, i say no one should believe in any of that shit. belief in the extraterrestrial/supernatural/divine has fucked this world over in so many ways over the past 10 thousand years with war, slavery, pedophilia(most christianity based cult's/religion's leaders have done this, and dont try to deny it), and other things its not even funny anymore. its time for humanity to grow the fuck up and push that pile of shit away.

Normally I'd agree with you here, pseudoscience has indeed taken over the popular imagination and is doing terrible damage to REAL science in the process. Carl Sagan's comments about it in any of his books (namely: A Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark) are spot on the nose.

However...

I've seen ghosts. And even though I tried to debunk what I saw, I'm still left with the conclusion that what I saw was real. I doubt somewhat that it's the departed soul of someone that was once living, it's something we just don't have the technology/know-how to understand just yet. We'll see, though...

no matter how many trippy experiences you have had, there is NO explanation for the power trip the catholic church had in the last thousand years. there is NO explanation for human sacrifices that the aztecs/incas/other indigenous religions commited. NO explanation for untouchable cast in indian hindu society. and NO reason why fucking christian missionaries in the third world are giving out bibles to starving people instead of food, and using in some cases MY tax money to do it (in case u bring this up, christian "charities" DO get funding from international relief aid budgets, taken from budgets of 1st world countries).

i didnt say anything in my earlier rant at all did I? or maybe it was something about pseudoscience such as religion and belief in that the aliens have taken over our world are causing panic and fear in the first world, and famine and starvation in the third world?

and no matter how many ghosts you think you saw is not gona change those facts, nor is it gona clear christianity's filthy name and history.

i moved to s. carolina a few years ago. and it was a house built in 1912 and we moved in. as soon as you walked in the house you would get a headache. step out the house it would go away step back it in would come back like it was that defined. we had a room upstairs that stunk and we couldnt get rid of the smell a cleaning team came in and said they treated the smell yet they didnt know where it was comming from. later that week i learned a 32 year old man had a heartattack in that same room. everyday my girl would be sitting outside with my daughter cuz she wouldnt go in the house by herself and i knew why she wouldnt. well a week later i came downstairs in the middle of the night to pee and our roommate was standing in the kitchen white as a ghost and she said she seen me walk through a door that was locked and i was like i was upstairs. at the time she looked sick or in shock so i told her not to tell my girl cuz she was already scared of the house. well we moved about a month later cuz my girl went to the bathroom and the door slammed shut on her and she couldnt get out. when i came back from the store she was still locked in the bathroom and she was screaming and i opened the door with ease. she told me what happened and i tried to go in the bathroom and shut the door hard and tried to open it. it opened fine. by the time i went to go tell her there was no reason for the door to be stuck she already had most our shit packed and to the car. we moved out that night cuz of the incidnet and i still never told her about the apparition seen a few days before comming out of the bathroom. i dont know if it was haunted but there was something wrong with the house

And that claim of Christians giving out Bibles "instead" of food....you proclaimed yourself an expert on that claim---which is wrong.
And when you speak about Christianity's "filthy" history.....attempt to read about ISLAM's as well. You seem to not "get it" at all.
There ARE explanations. You just don't get to understand them all, so simple.

Shadow People are indeed scary. There's one location I frequent where I see them on a regular basis... darting behind furniture and down dark halls.

I try to not get freaked the fuck out, but it's hard...

i 110% belive in the paranormal..used to be a free time ghost hunter. i stayed 2 nights in a northern ohio defunct child/teenage mental asylum,i have to say those two nights changed my life forever.i heard and saw amd heard things that really fucked with me for awhile (i.e an old elevator that hadnt worked in about 25 years randomly started up and lights started flashing on and off now remember what i said earlier,about how it was defunct? well i mean no power whatsoever for that amount of time and on top of that the closest sign of civilization was about 30 miles in the other direction! i was completly alone (of human compainionship that is) but as for other things i still to this day 10 years later belive i was surrounded by something not in the norm. this is why i dont ghosthunt anymore i was very frightend for many years about what i saw/heard. shit...this is the first time i have really even spoke of the matter in like 6 years..i saw many dark figures and heard screams and cries,many footsteps were heard (almost like running in fear at one point)...anyone ever had a similar xperience? let me know
