First grow: Northern Lights with LEDs

I started 16, 3 were male (so far) 2 I didn't have room for so I planted outside in the woods and I won't get to see them reach maturity because I'm moving in a few months, and 2 didn't sprout. so I'm down to 9. A small part of me wants the sativa plants to be males so I will have more room for the other large plants, but you can't have too much bud. :leaf:

One I got of amazon it was like $107 shipped.

Anyway another update, another grow room setup lol.

I'm running both reseviors at 5.8 ph an between 1000-1300 ppm with Fox Farm's Tigerbloom and Big Bloom. The shortest plant is about 20 inches from the 600w HPS and the tallest one is about 5 inches away. I untied the 2 sativa plants to try to get more vertical growth than horizontal.

I don't know for sure if this is going to work but I have about 9 sq ft of grow space and 9 plants @ about 10,000 lumens per sq ft. I covered the res lids in aluminum tape to help get light to the lower leaves.

I'm still waiting on the sativas to show sex I think 1 of them is a fem but it is too early to tell. I have 7 fems for sure.

lol wats up with the bunch on the right.. did you top some of em?

and dude what model humidifier did you get, can you find out? im just intrigued because price isnt too high, and its actually an air cooler? (coz i never heard of one like that). My $85 dollar Honeywell HCM800 sucks balls and im returning it tomorrow. My humidity has upped 3 %. Whats freaky is i disconnected the humidifier 2 days ago to let it dry out and clean it and return it, and for the last 2 days the humidity hasn't dropped.

I haven't topped any of them, I was going to top them but I waited too long and didn't have the time. The res on the left had a lower concentration of nutes than the right one because the left res had nute burn bad. The right res has 1 really large girl and 3 others that are good sized too. Now I have the ppms in both res between 1000 and 1200.

The roots should not be completely submerged in water. I like to keep the water level about half way up to roots. The air stones mist the roots that are not in water. They also mix and oxygenate the water too.

wait.. so if i have this right.. as the plants age and the roots get longer.. eventually you'll have almost no water in there? doesnt make sense though

Sorry I didn't explain that correctly,what I ment to say is that I try to keep the water level about 2"-4" below the bottom of the net pod.

I have the same problem with light consumption... Very over priced in my building... Had to go with LEDs.
Don't waste ur money on 45 watt panels... There garbage... Procyon 100 buddy I also got LGM5 fullspectrum LEDs for side light... Doing great so far

Mine did the same thing. So I just took my 2 gal dwc plant out of the closet and put it in the bathroom and forgot about it for a couple weeks. For some reason I checked to see how bad the roots were last night and the is a big wad of new white roots coming out. I know the pythium is still there though.

LEDS are fake, only HPS works! Trust me.... keep using HPS ...ignore all the articles and the Newest High Times Magazine article and the The company at the Canny Cup. they don't know anything about growing......
