Never put a cutting strait into soil with nutes in it, it won't root. Cloning is one of the more complex area's of growing. Essentially, you want the plant to stop growing vegitatively and focus on using its energy to grow roots. Once roots are in place, they will start collecting nutrients very slowly, building to a regular schedule. Don' mist too much for too long either, it could cause rot. I don't know if the roots you took are going to root, we'll see. After 3 or four days pull them up and see if they have white nubs.... if not, they may not take root, especially if you see any deterioration where you cut at.... theres a lot more to it... I have to go... I will post more and better info later..... no soil, no nutes, mist occasionally, don't cut tips because you put them in the soil!

lol dont pull it out... just leave it. sometimes it takes a week or 2. it depends on the strain. take the clipping, cut it on as much of an angle as possible. stick it in clean soil after dipping it into some sort of rooting hormone (i bought mine at walmart). Get some sort of clear cover, i like to cut a pop bottle in half and use the bottom. this will allow it to have its own little humid environment. The sweat will feed the plant while it has no roots. cut the larger leaves 5 or 7 or whatever fingers if you would call them in half. this will promote growth to the roots. i dont know why yet but it helps me. it also stops the leaves from touching the bottle or whatever you use over top of the cutting. oh and be sure to give it a breather now and then!

It was impossible to find a humidity dome in my town that was tall. Thus the reason to cut up the plastic bottles, I was getting ready to cut some 2 liter pepsi bottles up when i decided to give an old aquarium a try first.

It works well and it had a temperature sticker on the side of it. I just used plastic wrap to cover the top.

1. Start off by getting a clean area to work.

2. Make sure you have your rooting gel or powder, a container of water big enough to do cuttings in, SHARP scissors, and some pre-soaked peat pellets.

3. Spray the aquarium down with hydrogen peroxide.

4. Get a get amount of your rooting agent on your scissors and poke holes int the peat pellets to prepare a home to poke the clones after cutting. I like to get a bunch of the hormone in the hole.

5. Pick your branch for cloning confidently cut it. I like to have a couple sets of nodes. I peel the skin of the plant back by breaking the bottom node apart and peeling the little branches off. This exposes fresh skin to heal.

6. Place the cutting under water and take a 45 degree cut, get some root hormone on the bottom of the cutting and plug it into the peat pod.

7. Use your fingers and poke the peat pod shut so no light gets in around the stem. Place under a small florescent tube light 24 hours a day for a week or so.

8. Don't over water them...i just use the spray bottle of low ppm water (rain water) to do my watering when they look dry, let them breath a couple of times a day by taking the plastic back for a few minutes. Mist them about ounce a day, and don't do too much to them.

thanks for the info bro, how much those peat pods cost? i see people useing them and its seems like theyd make cloneing alot easier.

the problem with peat pockets is a high PH level. you have to make sure you soak them for a couple hours in ph adjusted water before use.

I second slipperyp's method, I have a couple 10 gals laying around and used one in the same exact way...took 9 cuttings 5 days ago, 7 of the 9 have showed roots. I also put a 1" layer of FF ocean forest on the bottom, this way I believe I wont have to mist as much....now all I need is a heating pad. But + rep for showing me the info about the STANlEY BLOWERS...love the pictures...have been thinking of buying two for my 1000watt grow and wondering how the dryer venting was hooked up. thanks so much for showing me. You even showed me the diy carbon filter and how it was hooked up....pricless pictures bro. plants are looking amazing....i def. second the cuttings and keeping the strain going

yo bro thanks for checkin out my grow, glad my journal could help, those stanley blowers are amazing, iv had mine running on speedlever 2 for 12 hours a day for about 3-4 weeks and there is no sign of stress on the fan....built strong and quiet as hell, and man i wish i had a tank like that, looks perfect for those girls.

I looke in every store in my city for a stanley blower. NOBODY here carries them. I checked Rona, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Home Depot and a few other locally owned places. Home Depot has them on their website but wont order them in for me. You have to order them yourself. the only other blower fan they had was $400 and WAY too big for what I ave set up. Plus it would be outside and this ones quite loud.

Check your local garage sales bubloni for a used 10gal fish tank. You can usually pick one up at a garage sale for like $10.

man thats a bummer, but you sure wall-mart dont have em? if you have a superwall-mart i would go there and they should be right there in the regular old fan section with the oscilating and clamp fans...but isnt there a return pollicy even if you buy from home depot online, like if its to loud just send it back saying it dont work right?

yeah i checked the major walmart we have. they dont carry them in canada they said. only the american ones. ill just have to order online but it will cost me $100 a unit with shipping.

hey man you can get a 10 gal. for 10$ at any petco or super pets...they are cheap ive got tons of reptiles and fish tanks so I got alot of spares laying around, i got a spare 45 gal ill end up using for clones eventually. bublonic...you think you could find out the model # of your stanley blower? just to see if they one they are selling by me are the same. the box looks kinda small...and I know they make them in different sizes, i just wanna make sure i get one with enough cfm( im pretty sure all the models have enough cfm) ....cause it doesnt state it on the box. thanks. i think the model # is 655702 is yours the same?

My tent is balooned out ALOT! wat does that mean???? heres my setup, i just have a inline fan sitting on top of my grow tent and ducting comes down in through the hood and then out the other side and out the tent out my window! thats all i got as fans and ducting goes! do i need more or something else bublonichronic???? o and by the way my card lets me grow 30/30 wat state you live in bro?

shit not anywhere near you! but i dunno whats ur temps? if you got high temps you might need more ventilation
