My last of the cups in the tower sprouted! It had a chunk of hard wood over its head keeping it down. I moved that a little bit.. just un-stuck it last night.. and this morning, that new seedling had moved the woody piece on its own! Now, I'm just praying that none of my bagseeds are massive sativa females. Anything that's huge will need to get guerrilla'd, which will suck balls. If I weren't trying to sell my house, I'd just put them in the backyard.
The first Top44 is getting really bushy underneath. The first set of fan leaves burned and are almost dropped off and I snipped the burned tips off the second set fans, since I read that a clean cut will sometimes prevent them from dropping the leaves. I'm hoping that thing can flower normally.. Maybe I'll end up with one gigantic fat, short lollipop!
I'm holding off on pics until the n00bs are up a bit more. Sorry, guys. Just boring words for a bit. The other plants are still tiny and growing painfully slow. I'm sure the temps on them when they were up against the lights was 100+. Glad they're not dead, really.
More thinking about strains. My wife has some chronic pain, but also anxiety. I have anxiety issues, too. I've been reading shit-tons of strain reviews and trying to cross that with what's available fairly close. My top choice was Grape Ape, as it's known for both issues, medically and is fairly short in stature, from what I've read.. not to mention it looks fuckin' fresh!
I dabbled with the thought of trying the Diesel Ryder, but that's really not of medical benefit to us, as far as I can tell. Then, I stumbled upon something that's available on this continent and good for both.. White Russian. Not only is it small enough to grow in the cases, but it's got some 22%+ THC and is available within driving distance for me! YAY! I will pick up the Diesel Ryder and the White Russian, but will save the Diesel Ryder. My intentions with that are to grow it outdoors and seed it so I can self-perpetuate. I just LOVE that Diesel taste, too!
OK.. 'nuff for now.
