How are you going to address the odor issue? Not to beat a dead horse, but you should replace the spot you currently have your fan placed with a DIY carbon filter, and have your fan on the top of the cab. I'm telling you, this will solve your problems....I had to figure out through countless trial and error. Just trying to help a brother out and I really want to see something growing in that cab instead of temp issues. Your setup looks pretty tight though (tight meaning awesome!)

p.s. - start flowering sooner than you think you should in that tight of a space. They'll continue to have significant vertical growth for 3 weeks into the 12/12 cycle. See my Satori grow in my signature to see the issues I had with vertical growth in a 5 foot tall cab.

Last but not least, be safe man...especially in an apartment! Good luck!

u wanna keep your intake slightly smaller than ur exhaust because you want to keep a negative pressure inside the cab so that the odor doesnt escape thru the intake side of the venting.....other than that very nice setup and good job dude....+rep

Took the advise! Put the fan on top of the box. No carbon as of yet, but I am running temp test at the moment. Got a wireless thermometer from Wal*Mart last night to monitor temps without having to keep opening the fucking door letting out bright light. Wish me luck! lol

Well like i said in the previous post, I went and purchased an ACU-RITE Wireless Thermometer from Wal*Mart for $9.00. Works great!

Here is the upgrade...

and here's the temps

The one on the left is the display for the wireless remote on the floor in the cab. The IN temp (which is the temp of the room the display is in) is 72.1F. The OUT temp (which is the interior of the cab) is 77F.

The one on the right HAS TO BE BROKE! The temps are supposed to be the same as the IN temps as the one on the left. It did have a few bad falls.

The heat extracted from the cab is blowing in the corner of the closet.

Should I attach the scrubber to the fan
or to the light?

Thanks in advance!

**By the time I uploaded the pics and wrote yall this essay :eyesmoke: my temps drop'd to 73.9F with the window cracked in the room.

Thanks dude! My panda film should be here in the next day or 2 so that I can create that wall behind the doors. Little light leakage but I should be cool! Thanks again! What should I do about the scrubber? I want to buy one but I want to attach it to the fan (5 inches) not the cool tube.

and there is so much space in my cab. lol

https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/101248-best-diy-ez-walmart-carbon.html check that out... i know your not doing a micro grow but you could try this out i think its cheap enough to give it a whirl...you could possibly think up something bigger if you wanted to....just gotta get creative...=) gl broski

alright, I just might do that. I wanted to purchase that elf cause theres a spot close by that has it for 40 bux. But if I do purchase that one I have to put on another 5" to 4" reducer which adds another 5.5" of length in addition to the 10" the filter already is.

Been doing that for the past few days between there and Lowes. I think Imma just put out the 41 bux for the Elf and 7 bux for the 5" to 4" reducer. It seems more convenient and cost efficient to day that. Thank though! :bigjoint:

I want to build a cardboard venting contraption for my intake toblock the light. The shaded in area represents the wooden strips shown in the first picture. Once the strips are nailed to the wall, a piece of cardboard will be attached to the wooden strips to create the over and the 3 slits are the slits in the cardboard. I know theres supposed to be two 90 degree angles to block light leakage, but does this qualify?

thanks in advance!

a good one for smell is coffee in a bowl it is a natural odor remover they use it when they cook meth to cover the smell so it must be good lol

you can get a bag of carbon (activated) from any aquatics shop in all different amounts all you need is that and some chicken wire and a pair of tights and macguyver that shit
is that already made coffe or coffee beans

probably fresh cause already made mean that most of the fragrance would be in liquid form. When you go to a department store and shop for fragrance they give you a jar of coffee beans to smell to reset your sense of smell to be able to determine the difference between the fragrances.

I would actually have an inline fan "pull" or "suck" air out of the tubing. This will create "hopefully if its airtight" an negative air preasure and you will actually be getting more frest air pulled in from cracks and crevests. This should help alot in your battle with heat.

Here is what I did. This is sucking air thu the lites, thru charcol filters, and vented into the next room

First, I wanna say tha I practically drooled when I saw these pics in its original thread. lol Now, my question to you, is that box your scrubber?

I am actually working on creating a wall with a narrow door behind the double sliding doors to block ligh leakage between the door. Its comming along but the guy at home depot didn't get the measurements right for the piece of board I am using for the door. :wall: I'll get it straight in the A.M. hopefully.
