It says that right on the back of the card.

Since they took your card you should go get another and the records from medicann to support you having received the card.

Anyway you are completely within the law only having that card in cali. Here we have to have the state card in oregon but you guys don't.

My engine is shot basicly which sucks and now we're on the side of the road 60 miles away from home. So I call AAA to come get me and as I'm on the phone with them Highway Patroll rolls up behind us. An officer came up to my passenger side and stuck his head in the window which was already open. He said he smelled pot, and I told him I don't smell anything. Then he said the other officer smells it too and that there's probable cause to search me and my vehicle. I told him that I don't consent to searches.. and my friend says the same we don't consent to unlawful searches. He said I smell pot, and I should just tell him where it's at so he doesn't have to dig my car apart. By this time I told him I had my medical card but he didn't really acknowledge it. He then had us get out and patted us down and took my medical card and asked what county I'm from I told him he said I'm in San Mateo county and it doesn't work here. And he told me my card isn't valid. I have Medicann and a recomendation. And there's a verification number for him to check but I still got charged with Posession Of less than one ounce of marijuana 23222 (b) vc is the code .
He also told me he's just one branch of the government, it's his job to find it. and when I go to court they will decide what they will do. And if they say I can have my medicine back I can go pick it up at his office.
IM STRESSED BEYOND BELEIEF> MY CAR IS MESSED UP. ITS STILL REGISTERED UNDER MY STEP DAD @ HIS HOUSE> I DON"T WANT HIM RECIEVING INFO ON THIS>
I WOULD LIKE MY MEDS BACK AND I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR THIS COURT DATE>> I SIGNED AN AGREEMENT TO SHOW> BUT ONCE I SHOW SHOULD I JUST BRIND IN ALL MY MEDICANN PAPERS AND MED CARD??

so don't you think they're going to drop it because i was following california state law the whole time??
if they don't drop the case i will take it to court and will hope the copper dosn't show.. but im not paying for a lawyer.
section 23222 b (vc) says less than one ounce of marijuana is punishable to up to $100.
i do have my card so this shouldn't even apply!!!

yeah I felt fucked over.... im a mmj patient with medicann.. I didn't know they could do that.

Its shit like this that really stews the fuk out of me,police depts everywhere have truly lost there way,40 years ago when a cop pulled up on a broke down driver the first thing they asked was "can we assist in any way",now the sorry ass mother fukers see it as an easy excuse to once again steal money from innocent citizens.

The older i get the more i loath police,the rat fuks.

Yep

And they wonder why so many people have that "fuck the police" attitude and want to kill them.

It makes no sense at all. Except for keeping a certain group of the population down, making lots of money off the poorest people, and keeping them unable to vote when they hand out felonies like they were traffic tickets.

There seems to be a clear plan behind it, and we let them get away with it so it's working quite well for them.

I have been employed by MediCann for 3 years. These cases almost always get thrown out. The Highway Patrol will recognize a MediCann card, what you had was a jerk cop.

If the officer confiscated your paperwork, and your card, you should immediately get into your nearest MediCann office and get a re-write, and card. You can also contact our call Center 866.632.6627 and ask for the Card Department, they should be able to mail one out to you.

Honestly I do not believe that you have anything to worry about, other than a big headache and a big waste of time.

:-P thank you, that is really reassuring.
And also the officer didn't confiscate my card. he took it to look at it, but he ended up giving it back and telling me this one is like candy. and it's just not the card he will recognise. So I still have my card and I plan on telling the judge I'm a MMJ patient, Here's my card.. Here's my pill bottles... Here's my physicians rec, and telling him I told the officer I was medical and showed him my card and he didn't acknoqledge it.
