Give it time, with the bailouts (handouts) it seems that the car makers are already taxing us. Now the dealerships will have to go crying to DC, "nobody can buy cars, how can I pay for the house I live in that is 6 times larger than what I actually need, boooooo hooooooo"

Yes, it's a win win for them no matter what. They are accepting FREE cash for FAILURE. By the way where is thwe free money for mercedes, Honda, Toy, etc.. all build cars HERE with AMERICAN jobs. They are in the same down market as the big 3. What no free money for them because why?.... they didn't run their corps into the ground so they don't get help? We help the failed business models....swell. By the way the UAW already has reneged on the bailout promise of lowering wages....surprise, now that we have your money,....FU! Nice......
So the not so BIG 3 will spend the free money, go back for more (they will) under Obama, and THEN declare bankruptcy and skate on all of these obligations...... call me Kreskin. It will happen.
Congress has already figured out that this BAILOUT crisis is giving them the best COVER they have ever enjoyed for spending money and paying off loyalties. EVERYONE is lining up now. Say goodbye to your economic future folks..... TY Govt. Here comes the 30's..... don't forget your towel.

The government is trying to keep their lobbyists in capitol. If the corporations are broke, no money for the lobby groups. If the lobby groups are broke, no perks or payoffs for the people on capitol hill. It is in their best interest to give these bailouts.
What we need now is for every weed smoker in America to send 1 dollar to Norml to be spent on lobbyists.

Okay Miss, I don't know what your reading tastes envelop, but if you love funny books which make you think inside out, then you MUST read HitchHiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Do NOT watch the movie first..... it will only confuse you.
I might also suggest Catch-22 by Josef Heller...hilariously dark comedies both..... my fav genre. OMG BONNIE I'm coming!!!!

Who the hell is Bonnie Hunt? I'll have to see if my local library can order it for me to read. I doubt they have it on the shelf. Pretty slim pickins at the tiny town library.

I went to the website, I want to see the dogfood recipe, but when I click I'm denied, it doesn't do anything. I'll check the program guide and see if I can find the show sometime and check it out.

here's the recipe..I wasn't locked out. this is really close to what I already do except i cook it all together with a crock pot...always add collard greens to it as well.

I add apple cider vinegar to my dogs food. It keeps her from having yeast skin problems. I swear something in dog food these days causes that.

How did dogs eat before Purina?
I give my hounds Pedigree dry as a small base then add my home cooked chicken stew with oils and vitamins on top. I use "wet" dog food every once in awhile to give them a change, sort of like a McDonald's hamburger.....not what you want to eat steadily, but every now and again...mmmm.
For general skin health always add some cod liver oil and an occasional egg yolk (not everyday, but maybe twice a week...ahem...they love them) and watch the maladies drift away and the sheen come back....

I use the vinegar to kill the yeast, it can't live on an acidic host. She got really bad, I kept taking her to the vet, who was a dumbass and kept treating her for all sorts of things it wasn't. Meanwhile she had these open sores everywhere and just itched and chewed at herself. The vet got fired, I looked it up on the net, started with the vinegar and she's has improved so much.

hey that's great....way to use your noggin... of course despite the vet platitudes and all, no one cares for your dog more than YOU. In the end it's up to the owner to fix it or find the fix. well done...

What happened, this thread turned into a dog food recipe. How crass. BTW I feed my mutt Kibbles and Bits, in the 50lb bag, he loves it and no health problems whatsoever. fed him that since a pup, he's never been to a vet. He weighs over 100lbs and is over 12 years old and still agile, teeth are still good and I figure he has another 5 good years. Mutts are usually more healthy than purebreeds, something about in-breeding, like 1st cousins and all that.
