Lol, I try not to eat mushrooms in general when I have shit to do. To much to think about, and then you gotta focus on what your tryin to do. Man I'm gettin bummed thinkin about try to do stuff lol.

The best cheap homemade humidifier you can make is a large watter bottle willed with water,,,next get a cheap airpump and put a small bubblestone on the air line and put it in the watter bottle. This will add RH, and pushout CO2 through the pollyfil

I like it kush, that would eliminate the need to fan it right? That seems simple enough, and there are plenty of holes in my FC to run an air line through. I found one of those vicks ones at walmart for like 30 I think. I havn't been having any trouble with RH, but I am often gone for like 10 hours at a time, and don't always get to fan very often. I was thinking that something like this, or the fan idea I mentioned would help that. I like the water bottle idea though, cus the air would be coming from outside the FC, instead of inside like the Vicks one. I think I will be getting an air pump this weekend. I'm about to post those pics on my thread, the KS are exploding.

yes, no fanning at all! The air from the pump is constantly pushing CO2 out, and fresh air in...plus humidity! I wouldnt get a fan

hey kush i got a question, i started some jars a little over 2 weeks ago, i shook them about a week ago and it seems like they are not growing anymore, did i shake too early? or what do you think might have happend?

yes, sounds like you shook too early, or there was not enough moisture in the jars for the myc to colonize

I had something similar happen with one of my jars. I think it was a combination of the 2 things Kush said, not enough moisture, and I shook to early the first time. I left it in the incubator, and just shook it agian about 3 days ago. Its just now finally getting pretty well colonized( I noc'd it up on 12/2). Don't give up on them, they might still come around.

I wouldn't say so, like I said my jar is finally colonizing. Its way behind the rest of them, but its finally colonizing!! I just shot up some South American jars the other day too. They all have some growth in them now. I would prolly start some more just to be safe, if you have room any way. It never hurts to have spares.

If I have a jar thats not colonizing on the bottom, I just mix it up and tray it

The batch I trayed already, thats what I did. There was a little on the bottom not colonized, but I just trayed it any way. Hey cus if you check this before mine, check my thread, I got a problem.
