Well, just trayed em up, and the trays barely fit in my incubator..lol They are 12x17...I had to fold the corners up to get em to fit.

brown doesnt sound good! Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse...pitch em. Alot of times ppl buy rye bags ready to inject, and they were contaminated from the supplier. Thats why I make my own.

I have just reviewed this journal and find it very informative. i have a couple of questions regarding the steps. I understand that the jars are kept in an incubator after inoculation and the trays are also kept there.

How is the incubator constructed and what are the ideal light, temp and humidity requirements. Is there a link where I can get this method and items needed step by step?

Thanks

Well kush's thread has just about everything you need to know, but if you stop over to my thread, I think I have everything else, lol. The incubator is made from 2 rubber made totes, one inside the other. The bottom one has several inchs of water in it, and has a fish tank heater on the bottom. The heater warms the water, which warms te incubator. Ideally, you want it to be about 84 degrees in the incubator, and totally dark. The humidity is kinda irrelevant in the incubator as far as I know.

I am gonna case the trays tonight...my bro has a bag of verm..but its been sittin outside and is full of leaves and sticks. I am just gonna load it up in jars and PC to steralize it. I could use coir, but the top layer tends to dry out pretty quick. I will take some pics and post em when I get back home.

I think the PE is done for...I got home today and there was a spot of green. I spooned it out and cased anyway, but more than likely its done for. The JA looks fine!

I've been fighting mold on my burma tray. I've been spooning it out, and trying to clean the spots with h202. It keeps coming back, but its been slow, and hasn't taken over yet.
