If more people were familiar with treaties 6, 7 & 8, it'd quickly become apparent that separating is unlikely.Hey rest of Canada, stereotyping us all as a hive mind of backwards, redneck separatists is getting pretty fucking old.
Could you maybe be a little more selective in your hatred and scorn? The MANY progressive Albertans get really tired of being lumped in with the morons. We already have to deal with them every day, and adding your bullshit on top is pretty frustrating.

Yeah, it's crazy what mistrust, misinformation, and just plain ignorance can do.View attachment 5466313
We have quite a few religious groups locally that seem to deny science until they're ill. Then attribute getting better on their savior instead of medicine. One local preacher forbade his parishioners from getting treatment for covid, then he ended up being intubated and survived. He also protested the same hospital where he was treated.
Sadly the ignorance isn't plain, it's willful as we all have access to a ton of information these days, but few consume much of what is relevant/true.Yeah, it's crazy what mistrust, misinformation, and just plain ignorance can do.![]()
A local turkey farmer got the avian flu in his barns and had to cull 18 000 birds, 6 500 of which were ready for market. The birds would sit still for a bit, twitch and fall over dead. It was quite the ordeal to sanitize the barns, vehicles, machinery and tractors. The stench was horrendous. He was quarantined for several months. A fresh shipment of turkey chick's, coming out of Quebec and heading to Michigan, had to be routed far from his farm. Apparently the variant this farmer had is airborne, so it didn't come from the feed trucks or visitors.
Yes, and just like Covid, people who don't understand viruses and how they can mutate, or just want to cause chaos, are up in arms saying the culls are cruel and unnecessary and spreading more mis and disinformation. The mitigation necessary to protect our food and our population from having more spread, and mutations IS an unfortunate reality in the fight to keep animals and people healthy.A local turkey farmer got the avian flu in his barns and had to cull 18 000 birds, 6 500 of which were ready for market.
