Out of the original 17 seeds I started the journal with, 1 is a keeper. That’s still pretty good, compared to most.
I have my 2x2x4 tent set up for pollen collection upstairs, and plenty of small vials for freezer storage. I’m excited to start opening some better packs soon.
ACE CBD popped a male flower down below, but I didn’t see any pollen when I pulled it, so fingers are crossed. I’ve been checking her daily, but she’s big and it’s easy to miss stuff.
Saints Crossing is looking a little extra frosty on her leaves this run. I think she’s liking the extra light and stronger soil mix. Light meter says about 45-50k lux across her top.
GG4 has a great shape with no effort and has been a dream to grow. Robust plant, nice branching, and it’s basically trained itself after only being topped once. Her cut rooted and was transplanted yesterday.
MTF was overtrained. This pheno doesn’t like to stretch and I asked a lot from her this time around. She’s showing some early purple, like she either ate up all the P in the small pot, or is light stressed. She’s also getting hit a lot harder with the light this round and she’s not a fan of it. I dropped her about 6-8” yesterday and she’s happier and praying a little bit today.
I’m starting to harden off the peppers and tomatoes, so I can finally get my space back.

I started a jar of FPJ (fermented plant juice) with some comfrey and aloe. I planted comfrey last year and let it get established in a couple areas. I harvested some this morning before the sun came up (when the new shoots supposedly have the highest concentration of growth hormone) and mixed it with some fresh cut aloe vera leaves. I muddled that together with an equal amount of brown sugar by weight, and put it in a jar with an air-valve to let it ferment for a couple weeks. It’s a cheap experiment for the next round, and I hope to make more to use it outside in my veggie garden if it works.
ACE CBD is advertised as 50-60 days. We’re at day 50 for both the CBD and the Saints Crossing. CBD is getting close, maybe 1-2 weeks more. SC has about 3 weeks left. I dropped my tablet on the bottom right bud the other day, trying to take a picture. If it rots at the damaged parts, it will get chopped away and sacrificed. I’ll be watching it.

MTF is a mini-shrub. I’m just gonna have learn a hard lesson on this one, regarding overtraining and low-stretch phenos.

Had to supercrop the GG4 and defoliate her. I raised the Saints Crossing and put her up on a tub, so she was at about the same level, and then I raised my light. I just checked later in the day, and I swear the GG4 grew another 4 inches! I bent the 4 main stalks down and tied them to the cage. Wel see what kind of fury she comes back with tomorrow morning.

Saints crossing has at least a week. ACE CBD looks done, but still has a lot of clear trichomes. I’ll give her a few more days and chop next weekend at the latest. Both are at day 63 today.
GG#4 threw a single dude-sac down below that I caught while doing under canopy cleanup. I’ve heard that she can be finicky, so I’m keeping her nice tidy down under and watching closely. MTF ok but slow.

Chopped the ACE CBD and the terps are overwhelmingly orange, maybe closer to tangerine. It’s not sweet like fruit, but floral like orange blossoms and has some spice to it, like cardamom and hash. It’s wild, unlike anything I’ve grown or smelled before. It smells more like essential oil than weed and is greasy and sticky as fuck. This plant checked all the boxes - very terpy, nice vigor, nice sized stalks and decent buds, and did well with my grow style.
Normally I’d wait for the smoke test, but this plant is different so criteria will have to be too. Unfortunately, it’s illegal for me to get my weed tested in my state as a home grower, and that’s what I really need for “making medicine” so….. fuck?!? I researched strains for a while before settling on this specific one for that reason, and ACE claims to have worked this line for some time to get it stable. I also need new bubble bags. Until then, I’ve got isolate/distillate to play with.
