Pound Town and Chem D s1
The stuff I’ve ran from CSI is some of the best weed I’ve smoked in my life from seed and that’s a pretty big take.. This pound town, I’m old and share with old heads and it’s just amazing, mad props to the dude..I don’t see tons about it but I’d highly highly recommend it! Big thanks for big work!

Sherbet is a decent yielder for sure, as long as you do the work, and top her into multiple colas.
Problem is Sunset has those rock hard GSC type buds and people really gravitate towards them.
That’s always been the main argument on the Sherbet vs. Sunset topic, it always comes down to bud density, and there are more important things about a plant than just that.
I grew the green sherb next to key lime pie and zkittlez and they did not at all seem like related plants. The sherbert when I had it was just labeld sherbert and I’ve come to understand it is now known as the green sherbert. The light green bright orange hairs , tasting like an orange creamsicle sherbert.
I’m very sad I was not able to keep the green sherb , I was supposed to get more cuts and dude fell into bad times.

See if you can find some Sherbert S1’s, or outcrosses, from Humboldt CSI.
They were using the same Green Sherbert that you’re talking about for breeding.
I grew some of the outcrossed lines and the Sherbert genetics were fairly dominant throughout.

I know one person with the clone but they are asking more then I can currently afford but I would grab it before the s1s as the price is not much different. I’m hoping she gets spread around and finds her way back to me , most things I thought were lost have.
Csihumboldt is def a great place to get gear though , he always hooks it up with a bunch of extras.

I've heard people saying zkittlez and green sherb are the same or related, I don't see it either. Key lime pie is definitely different than green sherb too

If it’s not what the cookie fam says it is my first guess would be the orange sherb from Barney’s farm . Based on the descriptions and appearance I would not be surprised if both the green and purple pheno were could be pulled from those packs….

Anyone pop any of their Forbidden Fruit crosses? Ran across their S1 and it had me checking my wallet lol.
I grew some S1’s of the FF . Seems to be a # of slow growing mutants in a pack. I got one girl & she was very dark purple , potent and pretty flavorful. I have read other good reviews on the FF S1’s that the terps were pretty outstanding which is what I experienced as well. The Inspector always hooks it up with freebies also . Hard to go wrong with CSI Hope this helps , good luck

The FF, man I hate it. I guess it’s like cilantro, on my palate it’s like sucking on one of those citronella tiki torches lol. I know and understand taste and smell is subjective but for me it’s a hard nope

I forgot to add pheno #2...

This one was the strongest....had a grapey hot tar smell. Not my favorite tasting or smelling but definitely wins Potency. My favorite smell and tasting one was MP#4 Its very hard to explain the smell n taste but it has some kind of incense/spice, if you ever had spice drop candy this reminds me of the purple tasting spice drop. The high was good but not the most potent. MP#3 was very sweet and had a grape jolly rancher smell to it. MP#1 had a sweet candy smell but when smoked it was very thick smoke, it also leaves a very different smell when burning. When I go back in the garage after smokimg MP#1 I like the smell that lingers, its weird and I dont even know what to say it compares to. Its good though. I am not a fan of purple weed but growing these Mendo P were a lot of fun and my friends love it. After this round I wont grow them no more.
Your pics CONVINCED me to dig into my "seed bank" and dig out a few Mendo Purps S1 seeds from a opened pk. from 3 yrs ago. I grow outdoors and the Mendo Purps from CSI I grew was all green, not a trace of purple. Your pics look like Purps phenos I grew from Jord. of Isles yrs and yrs ago, they were R seeds and for 2 yrs I had phenos that reeked through triple bags and had intense sweet taste. Genetics are gone for me after harvests and I've chased those phenos and never got them again,I've tried, Jordan, BCBD Purps, G Daddy Purps, and the CSI,so for curiosity I'm popping a few of the CSI's again, also I'm in MA so all these "green pheno" purps sure as hell isn't due to temp,it's chill at harvest time in New England.

Sometimes you just get unlucky i guess? I don't have much grow experience tbh, but out of about 15 plants I've grown to completion, only maybe 3 were undesirable to me....and even then some ppl loved those that I didn't desire.....and S1s I've had extremely great luck with, as all the S1s I've run have turned out exactly as I hoped or better.

I grow indoors in the northeast though, I know new England is mostly outdoor from what I've seen in New hampshire/Vermont/Maine area anyway....mass, CT and Rhode Island I've seen more indoor grows than outdoor.

But yes it's definitely cold enough for purps, I guess you're environment has just brought out those green phenos for some reason

The Mendocino purps cut grows purple regardless of the temperature , so does granddaddy purple.
I had friends that grew mendo purps from seed for a couple years and I never saw anything but purple low potency buds. I’ve grown both myself indoors and outside and they are purple all the time.
Also grew the clone of forbidden fruit and it’s a little more potent then the average purple but the taste is not for me, tastes just like the old California orange plant and it’s a nice smell but not something I want to coat my mouth with.
Also the forbidden fruit grew solid purple in extremely warm outdoor conditions, the buds are purple from the start vs turning purple because of the cold or some bs trickery.
S1 seeds are not copy of the parent but rather a reshuffling of the genes present , purple being recessive makes it easy to lose that expression.

I know s1s aren't a carbon copy of the parents however sometimes they are or are even better. My experience is that they are often better. But I did not know the purple expression could easily be lost.
