Thanks,it's sad,and follows our industrial decline in general, I believe we should contract some Navy ship builds to S Korea and Japan at this point. They are solid allies and would probably accept eagerly w/their economies tired. I'd bet they could build 2 Frigates apiece for our Navy which needed them YESTERDAY. Meanwhile WE should have gotten the DDX next gen 13K ton destroyer going 5 yrs to a DECADE ago, we are sending the venerable "Tico's" to sea at 30+ yrs. old and the Chinese type 55 (11 commissioned in like 5 yrs. w/5 more coming) looks pretty formidable. China is also building a 110-120K ton Nuclear carrier and in the 2030's will have gen5 and 6 aircraft onboard and possibly 3-4 of these carriers,rumor has it they may be escorted by 20K ton nuclear powered cruisers bristling w/a kitchen sink of armament.
I think many Americans are unaware due to our political situation and our ingrained thinking that WE are Top Dog always that things have been trending down concerning our navy and generally dismiss the Chinese out of hand as copycats,build junk etc. Times have changed, they are an innovative people and have built a impressive navy in a mere 15 yrs. I hope problems concerning Taiwan are settled without conflict, I don't think we are prepared psychologically for what may be a shocking result should China make a move.

Let's not forget, Obama left a pandemic team and protocols in place which Trump eliminated.

And why did they eliminate the pandemic response team? For the same reason McConnell made sure a black man, my words not his, would never appoint a supreme court justice. I'm sure behind closed doors the N word is how they referred to Obama.

Trump was more concerned with eliminating any traces of Obama's presidency than guarding our nations'health. Same thing with Obama care, they didn't and don't have a health care plan but damned if they'll gonna sit by and let some negro tell them what to do.
I don't think that old bunch of racists will ever get over having a black man for president.

Yes, I forgot about the response team being disbanded. Definitely a damaging decision to make, and yeah, likely rooted in hatred and racism.

I don't really give a darn about what a politician or pundit has to say about the economy, I care what economist and economic institutions have to say.

I don’t need the news to tell me that AWG is real, the science is overwhelming.


Covid is the one spot where I will give Trump some credit and slack, at least at the start. In his first public address about the outbrake he did lay out a plan to rapidly develop and distribute a vaccine, and I belive did what was in his power to make that happen. And that promise was made good on.

I always toss the spare tire of my new car in the trash.
