Day 47 and these 2 CDLC are totally out of control and over 20 inches tall now I've had to do some serious pruning and trimming top and underneath. I do a little everyday and it doesn't seem to phase them at all.
Two square feet per plant isn't anywhere enough room, they really want to spread out and are up against the walls and each other. I'm definitely going to be getting a bigger tent set up in my spare bedroom while these do their thing.

I'm struggling with either a MG deficiency or somehow, maybe lockout? It's been awhile since I've had plants that are this hungry, so I'm not feeling lockout.... it's really just some fan leaves. Mostly, the flowers are still healthy but some of the tops were appearing to burn. My PPFD is 950. I thought about dimming but my DLI is 41 ,so on the lower end. The lowers look fine. I've burned tops before. I'm sure I will again. The whole room is getting that fruity, hashy smell. It won't be but a few weeks and I'll have another round of clones ready. These are going in 5g. Containers. The Peat Puck in FFOF experiment has worked pretty well. I've not lost any and I don't even have to baby them really. .20 cents each and a dab of Clonex. It may not be the best way, but I can afford this. And, I could have done worse lol. I'm ready to Pheno hunt through some of these other strains my friend gave me.

I just rechecked my PPFD. I dunno how I had it wrong, but my PPFD was 1700!!. Ridiculously high. No wonder the burn! I dropped it a notch on the blue spectrum. It's a redder light now and 1050 PPFD. I've read that a 300w light is perfect for a 3x3. This 400w has 9 bars, so, its dead even all across. 1700? Lol. I never thought at max height that it would blast them like that. Even with CO2, that's too much. Geesh. That's 73.4 DLI

Glad you caught it! The same type of things happen to me too. I get so focused on one thing that I tend to overlook something obvious right in front of me.

The difference 10 inches makes in hang height.... This is the 1st time I've used the light in that tent. I was caught up with switching and that BS with the gnats that I never thought to check PPFD. I figured ,"How bad could it be?" No wonder I was getting faded and, just crispy burned leaves. They were better off under the other lights. Oh well, tops might be crisp, but, there are some fat lowers lol. I smoke it all with my wife. Hopefully I caught it in time.

Well I decided to pull the trigger on a much larger tent to set up in my spare bedroom. I'm going to get the 4x8 from Gorilla Grow because the height with extension is 7'11" and my ceiling is 8' high. I'm tired of worrying about plants getting too tall. I'll probably only grow 4 or 5 plants but I want to be able to walk in and have plenty of room to work and let the plants spread out naturally.
I'm already thinking about the advantages and possibilities. I'll actually have a proper lung room and I might even want to try photos and cloning and use my little tent for a couple of mothers in the future.

I sure wish I had the room ( and cash) for a growspace that big. Dude, I'm glad you've been able to do it. Definitely, maximize your space. Photos are definitely great for doing that. Plus, there's some cultivars that just aren't available in auto. Cloning I recommend greatly. Once you find a great pheno, you can keep it going. I'm a cheapass cloner, but, I haven't lost any yet, so, that's something. With that much space, you can grow a few autos while the photos veg. It's been taking me about 2.5 months for the cuttings to root and grow to flip size. Right about the time a 75 day auto strain needs. You can grow some trees in that tent. Congrats.

My BBHP's are recovering from the lightburn. I have wondered recently why the bottoms look absolutely fine, but the tops were appearing to have a deficiency of... several things. I took the side Pic so you can see how developed and healthy the lower branches are. They're still very bushy as hell. I probably should thin them out some. I still have some work to do learning scrogging. I got started late on these and they're not letting me forget lol. Smell is getting powerful in there. It's like fruity hashy smelling. Haven't seen any gnats in a couple weeks.

Nah dude! You didn't come off bragging lol. Sorry if I made ya feel that way but no. I'm just jealous hehe. I would be doing alot more if I could. But, I sure don't hate on a man that can do it. I wish you the best of luck! I get you on the having Noone around to talk cannabis to. My wife sorta gets a blank stare when I start talking PPFD and Rhizosphere and other growing stuff. Hell, she thinks strain names are "cute". That's what makes this place work. I went from having Noone to talk weed to, to having friends all over the world that actually give more of a shit about my grow than anybody here, IRL. I'm glad if anything I've said has been helpful. I've been having to relearn alot of stuff that I'd just learned before the wreck. But seriously, @Mumbeltypeg has several rooms that all make my house look small lol. We still find stuff to talk about. I'm just looking to get better myself.

I made wax from the lower larfy stuff and it's very strong. Holler at me dude. I have some info for you!

Aren't they beautiful plants? And they got big indeed. You'll love the smoke if you're in to being pasted to the couch lol. I'm glad that RIU finally got back up. I did talk to a Moderator friend after 3 weeks down and she told me it would be back up ASAP. Shit, I was kinda lost there for a while. Glad to see yall again

Welcome back buddy! I was wondering what had happened with you. Well, the scrog turned out.... a bushy, spindly mess! I learned stuff though, so , next time should be better. I failed to defoliate last time and those plants had vegged in small pots for waay to long. I shoulda cut about half of the branching at the least. This time I started chopping and filled up a grocery bag with small shoots. Just for shits I stuck 5 shoots in a cup of water. 1 died but the others are healthy, so, I have clones to get ready for next time. The harvested plants are still drying but they are daunting to be trimming. I've ordered a bowl trimmer and will make wax out of alot of that small stuff. I cut off a few small branches and let dry fast to try it. Ugly as it is, it's got that same great buzz, so not all bad. I am going to start to use Pro-Mix this next round. I'm ready to try something different. Glad you're back dude! I'll post some pics later

Pics of the 4 new clones vegging for a bit to get stable and bigger after the transplant. I threw away more branches than there are left. I so wish I had done this last time. The lower Pic is the least spindley plant from last run. I cut 1 lower main branch and it had 12 offshoots of tiny stemmed, super larfy bullshit on it. Basically all of it is like this. There's 2-4 zips in there but it's almost all larf. Took me an hour to trim that 1 lower for a 6 gram return after trim. I ordered a bowl trimmer today. No way I'm spending the next 2 days trimming this. If I had plenty of other smoke I'd just wash it or make bubble hash. But, ugly as those tiny buds are, the buzz is basically the same as before. Bodhi stuff has a damned good buzz. I am gonna have a ton of trim and unredeemable larf to wash. But, I'm learning alot.
