That's a nice setup. Should have roots in no time. Them plugs are pretty nice. This here skill of cloning is a must learn for any serious grower. You've done your homework and applied it well. All looks good. Just a time game now

So what ya gonna do with them clones? Those CJ clones?

Thanks, I hope all goes well. Actually I haven't took any CJ clones yet, these are moms I'm working on. They will be recycled until I'm satisfied with my process.

Today we installed the first trellis for training. No homemade bullshit this time! I should have just tucked today but I also lollipoped, I really don't like growth at this stage that's not going to contribute end of flower. Will continue to train out until we fill this first screen 80%+- then flip to flower. Overall happy with this current run.

***Training Update***

If you have any doubt about the resilience just look at this 12 hour turnaround. If your plant is healthy she will bounce right back.

Full disclosure: I like to top/pinch the tops to encourage more branches/tops. The clone is mature, and the nodes alternate. This is new territory for me, so I'll stick to what I normally do and pinch the newest top growth at the end of each branch to see what happens. I did some research but didn’t find much, so we’ll start from here today in the name of SCIENCE! Lmao!

No doubts from this guy. Cannabis is a tough plant.

Snip snip! You'll see. Just something ya need to do to say ya did it but I can assure ya there will be many colas no matter what you do..lol.

A step up is the monster clone. Can't wait to see ya tackle those.
Yes they are indeed.

Yes, I agree with many, but I prefer to be selective. I want quality over quantity, focusing on those with purpose rather than just having many for the sake of it.

I’m all for the monster clones and plan to create one from this Cap Junky to serve as a mother. All that growth, though? It's a bit more work than I can handle—turning my garden into a full-time job! But hey, I get why some folks are all about it.

I wanted to share some cool technology I received for Christmas: the Blumat Moisture Meter. It’s dope! I’m growing in coco, but it's still fascinating to see how my plant drinks. I've been watering above 90 bar, and today I hit 110. The 7-gallon pot took two gallons of solution, yielding about 2L of runoff.

Also jumping from a 1-gallon pot to a 7-gallon pot is too big of a leap even in coco. I should have started with a 3-gallon pot first. I also bought some Canna Coco—no more dealing with bricks for me! An extra $5 is definitely worth avoiding the headache.

Day 26

Still screwing up the germinations. Dropped 2 more seeds yesterday. The 2nd drop has one survivor, but the drops from a week ago are already ahead of it. If I keep this up, I'll have a constant grow.

Update if I get 2 nodes on any of them.

Propagation Station - Clone Update

Boom! Success! Four out of eleven clones have rooted strongly, in my opinion. One observation, possibly significant: the moisture level in the cubes where the clones rooted seemed drier. As a result, I'm going to squeeze the remaining cubes and insert toothpicks to keep them suspended. These clones are smaller, so they sit deeper inside the cloner. Noted.

Your little plug tray sparked an idea for me. I took a plug and put it on my clone. Placed it in a cup with a lil water. The clone is standing tall and looks like it should root anytime soon.

I'm also facing a decision soon with my Trainwreck and ForgetMeNots. If I have more than 2 show female I'll run two and air layer the 3rd into 4-5 big clones for the next run. I don't want to just discard a perfectly good plant so I'll split it up and run it next time.

For a single clone I can see this advantage versus using a full tray. How long has this been in the cup?

Would you clone it before knowing how it does? Why not run all three to see which pheno you prefer, or maybe I'm not understanding correctly.

I think about 5 days. It looks pretty healthy so I'm pretty sure it'll root.

This is a cjc91 clone of a clone from a run on Oct. The only seed grow I have in flower is the Boo and a Gorilla Glue. All others are normal or flowering clones.

I do save clones from seed grows. And discard ones I don't want after the harvest. Cjc91 and CJ will always be cloned. I'll always run at least one plant of each. Well, at least for a while.

I won't be taking as many clones from this run. I'm trying to work through some seed. Keep what I know is good and move on.
