Why do you "need" to switch? Just out of curiosity? I do it for the summer, but I LOOOOVE hps and cmh, the 2 main plus points of led is the lower heat and lower energy consumption, personally I don't believe the hype about LED producing more trichs or more terps.I need to switch to led but I am sick of saying it haha maybe this year I will do it eventually, I'm in much better position to be able to take the loss os my yeilds suffer they do most the time anyway
Well mainly because I think my yeild will increase and fill the canopy better, with the bonus of less lecy to pay for, hps is old school and leds got to be better and more efficient with this day and age, surelyWhy do you "need" to switch? I did at one point think it was possible to get better terps due to led heating the plant up less for the same ppfd which should translate to less terps lost towards the end of flower, but it certainly hasn't been my experience, even when dropping ambient temps to 24'c for the last week or so.
paying less for lecky in the summer is nice but in the winter I'd have to run a heater anyways so I just use hps.
CMH does emit a little uvb. Best light I’ve in terms of quality for me. Although a few MH runs in the early days produced some wonderful terpsWhy do you "need" to switch? Just out of curiosity? You'll certainly get more yield per watt, and with all the blue in modern LEDs you end up with a less stretched plant, plus it is a doddle for early diagnosis of any symptoms with the white light.Well mainly because I think my yeild will increase and fill the canopy better, with the bonus of less lecy to pay for, hps is old school and leds got to be better and more efficient with this day and age, surely
For the most part I'm happy with keeping them in the same place for the flower room, unless I get something that either doesn't stretch or more than doubles, in which case I'll adjust the lights accordingly, but I'm usually just happy having the plants stretch closer to them at the start of flower. The hps get hung further away than the LEDs though. I rarely dim lights either unless something new gets mega stressed. I try and just keep everything on full power and allow plants to stretch towards them.@Blue brother
Do you ever raise or lower your lights or do they jsyt stay at the top

Did you mean to say hoying? Just asking cos I say hoying and not many other places in the uk use that term? Haha if so I think we're pretty closeYeah I did really just want to add led and hang them high as possible then hoping they woukdnt stretch to much hoying smaller plant in I think I will deffo try them in the summer
