Are you trying to use this as a supplement? Yeast will eat sugar and make CO2 and alcohol, but I don’t know what they will contribute in terms of NPK. Molasses has some K, but the huge amount of available food/sugar can also feed microbes that you don’t want. Fermentation also creates acid, lowering ph.

@Jjgrow420 .....Maybe OP is growing Girl Scout Cookies strain? ;)

Not a lot of information to go on, OP. What method are you using to grow? Where did you get the idea to mix yeast and molasses as fertilizer? Sounds kinda "bro" to me.

In my view of things, the bottom line on fertilizers is this: When you are using organics, you have to rely on creating/maintaining the microfauna in the soil that must break down all those organic compounds into molecular elements. Fish emulsion, for example, isn't Nitrogen, but it can be broken down and provide Nitrogen, thereafter. All these things take time -which adds time to how quickly the plants will end up growing. Outdoors, in real dirt with worms and all kinds of "critters" doing their thing, these organic compounds can be broken down much more quickly. Indoors? -not so much.

Creating a "living soil" biome is an art, in and of itself. I'm not interested in growing soil. I want to grow weed. That's why I have settled on synthetic fertilizers, now. They allow me to skip the breakdown period that organics require. My plants love synthetic fertilizers because they get the elements they need, instantly.

I found this on internet on regular Garden Growers. Saying it is the best fertilizer ever, of course.

Mix 1 Tablespoon Dry Yeast. They have two Tablespoon of Sugar but I can't have Sugar but I can have Black Strap Molasses so go with this in Quart of Warm Water over night, mix in 5 gallons of Warm Water, mix 1 Tablespoon of Wood Ash, Ground Egg Shell and Epson Salt.

Use this in all plants in soil even potted plants. Saying also you can use just Yeast and Sugar.

Yeast in soil is an interesting option since it's a microorganism that aids in decomposing organic matter. It can support beneficial fungi and bacteria, enhancing soil structure and nutrient availability. Be cautious with quantities—too much can lead to excess alcohol in the soil, harming the roots:(. One important things. If you want to try, start small parts and monitor your plants:). Long-term, actively aerated compost tea (AACT) might be betters op for building soil microbs in a more controlled way. Good luck:bigjoint:

Hey bud welcome to Rui and thanks for the info.

I don't grow in soil I use coco coir I was more curious about yeast than anything.

I'd previously googled yeast in soil to see if alcohol was a by product from it, it seems logical there would be?
Tbh i can't remember what was said other than nothing bad just positive stuff.
