Nice. Im not familiar with those strains but I bet they are fire.
I grew Boss Hogg in 2013 and kept it for a few years until I stopped growing in 2016. I searched for it for the past 8 years, waiting until I could grow it again.
Cali-Connection is offering it in fem version now. It is truly one of the closest things to old school, Chem 91.
It's a consistent big yielder, and exactly how it was when I grew it in 2013. I am growing it now, and I got two amazing plants. They require lots of staking, if you don't do a lot of training.

Day 21

I wasn't able to get 30 days of feed from FFOF. If you did, keep it real YOU'RE USING F'ING LIGHBULBS FROM $5 AND BELOW! I say this to the novice, READ YOUR PLANTS! Not what someone says, but watch what is actually unfolding in front of you. I felt comfortable going two weeks, and they were starved. So I top dressed this week, half of them with Dr Earth all purpose they others Veg. Gonna do a little side by side for the veg. Also with our limited space I'll be conducting new experiments with foliage control. In the name of science of course! Lmao! Come on this is in fact the Chronicles of cultivation. I also hit them with a heavy dose of BMC to silence the gnats. We rocking, and looking good for an arrival early December at THE BLOOM OASIS. Thanks for your attention, enjoy the flight!

Day 117

The beginning of week 7 flower is here already. The process really moves along once cruise is set. We've already backed down the power, 140 watts from each engine. Have a little yellowing going on uptop, nothing major being this close to the end. These organics are just a little slower it seems, so watching my intensity will be key. I think we maxed out at 320 watts for a week, they survived but it was probably unnecessary. We will see in the final product. Also this week I started training on the SFVOG and had to install a scrubber because they are funky already. 3 more weeks, I don't think I'll make it to mid November. The BOO is maybe a week ahead of the FMFX in development. Happy overall

Day 124

Wow what a journey yall! We are starting week 8 on our first run inside The Bloom Oasis. The Dr Earth has been legit, with my busy schedule and focus on efficiency it has worked out to my advantage. Today may just be the BOOs' last feeding, we hit her with a cup of compost, 2 tablespoons of Veg, 3+1 tablespoons flower girl. We also hit the Propagation Station, they also got thier first dose of EWC this round. I watered them heavy with the BMC, 15ML per gallon. The bag of FFOF was infested pretty good. The FMFX is greasy AF with a Citrus Marker funk, I like it. The BOO is still just literally a BAG of oranges, but not so sickly it has some funk coming through on the back end. BOO is swelling up good, and the FMFX is just a few days behind but still chunky. Which is why moving forward this will be a one pony show. I'm looking to maximize quality not quantity, having 1 plant will allow me not to cheat either variety/pheno.

Day 35

Secrect Chief training continues. Im also experimenting cutting back the bigger fan leaves. Slow them down, and also focus on the secondary branching. We have at least another 5 weeks in this tent. Not sure if I'll be topping these, I still may. I had some ideas about getting to maturity faster since these are regular seeds, but I'm just gonna let them ride. I have some obvious favorites, a few are really digging the training while others not so much. It is still early in the game, alot can change in short period.

Day 131

Booom yall! Week 9 begins! What a great run this has been. The Dr Earth has been super easy, providing me peace of mind to focus on training and dialing in my environmentals. In my humble opinion, the beginner should really focus on this and stack XP. Too many times I see these advanced mediums stealing time and shifting focus. Also a journal is vital, create a good habit of note taking. If you are here, I would also recommend running a 'Community Journal' grow. The headstart in data is tremendous, one major reason this first run was BOO; Bag of Oranges. I've seen this cultivar taken between day 63 and 70. We are pressing that, I initially said 11/15 but they're changing daily. The foxtail on this BOO is crazy AF, and the odors from both are great. I wish I could say more, but I haven't done much honestly. Everything is rock hard, if you're not sure on what lights to purchase, buy HLG. As we continue chronicling these grows much will change and stay the same.

Flower Day 66/67

In conclusion, this grow has been a real success, and I’m thrilled with the results. The small sample harvested on day 63 already blew my "tester" away! Confirming what I’ve learned about trusting my own judgment when it comes to harvest time. While the trichomes offered a clue, I decided the plants looked ready to peak and pulled them at what felt like the right moment. Harvest time can be controversial, but as I’ve said before, the key is reading your plants and finding your own rhythm. Thanks to everyone who followed along, with a special shout-out to @shnkrmn tips that made a big impact with BOO. I’ve gained valuable experience, and I’ll definitely be refining my methods moving forward. Here’s to another successful grow, and onward to the next one!

Very nice grow. I like your decision making skills. A skill that goes a long way in this game.

100% with ya on harvest. It's a stressful time for us. We want to get it right. Your approach is much like I do. I can visually recognize the signs of a declining bud and usually don't even start looking at them with a scope until about that time.

After your BOO example here I've started 3 of my own. Looks to nice to not crack them beans.

Thanks brother. It is definitely easier said than done, but take your notes and keep it moving.

Yes it can be, you've worked so hard to get here ya know. That's why I love participating in the community grows, just alot of data and different looks.

You are going to enjoy this BOO* lmao!

A really nice run! I want to take just a minute and let you know how pleasant it was to watch your run. I like the fact you are organized, detailed oriented and foremost run a clean grow area.
It is not as easy as a lot think. It takes a good bit of effort to run top shelf cannabis. You knocked it out. Look forward to seeing and sharing runs in the future. Make sure to provide us with the smoke report when you all cured up. Thanks!

Thanks neighbor, I really appreciate your kind words. It does take effort, but worth every second.

I as well am looking forward to an 'Ohio Grow' run. The smoke report will be good, I have quite a few testers (I no longer partake) so I'll be sharing all of thier feedback. Good, bad or indifferent it will be posted.

Just a small update on the dry. With all this tech in my tent I wanted to take advantage. Perhaps a bit unorthodox I left them whole in the pot. Our last light cycle ended 11/06 at noon. I'm using VPD on my controller to manage humidity and keep us in a dewpoint range similar to the drying machines. I'm really impressed, they are shrinking madly but nothing is crispy and the terps are wild. I'm really liking this.

Day 1 .80 kPa with .20 buffer
Day 2 .70 kPa with .10 buffer
Day 3 .60 kPa with .20 buffer
Day 4 .70 kPa with .20 buffer

*I didn't care for the 70% or higher humidity with the .60 kPa.
*exhaust only, level 5. I started on level 8. Longer extraction I feel really gets down in all the nooks and crannies.
*Oscillating fans come on 60secs every hour indirectly, level 3.

Have never heard of this being done and will continue the follow. Do not think I can dry in a DWC bucket 8-)

Awsome info! Keep us posted on this. Very interested in the results. I was planing on chop today. My dry room is sitting on mid 60's and humidity right around 60. This is with nothing but a 20" box fan angled at the door. Getting the ac in place for this afternoon. 60/60 is no problemo this time of year.
