Auto dimmer controller for led fixtures with normal digital ballast?

Hi all,

just for curiosity, I have looked around and some of the led lights can be connected with controllers that checks temperature and if it goes too high the controller dims the fixture down.
There are some light fixtures that can be connected with a normal digital ballast. These fixtures are cheaper, obviously the ballast will need to be changed time to time.
Anyway, my question is, is there a light controller for these types of led lights that would decrease the intensity based on the temperature?
Thanks in advance

An AC Infinity UIS controller and lighting adapter for lights with a RJ11/12 dimming connector. Dimmable lights without the connector could be tapped into.

If i understand correctly: its a led light that runs on hps ballasts?
If so it doesnt depend on the light it depends on the ballast, if it can take some external controller.
Usually digital led ballast have dimming in steps on board the ballast, i havent seen one with external control for dimming
The type of lights youre asking about is kind of the cheapo way to go: for someone how doesnt want to buy a normal led light with power supply, but wanna use the power he already has.
The feature youre asking about is kind of upper price level. Its a bit like asking for a Macdonalds with 2 michellin stars, not really likely to be found.
Tbh i think youll get on cheaper by just buying a full led system with external dimming, you can even build your own controller with arduino and some temp sensors.
If you already have a hps grow it should have sufficient cooling for your leds. Maybe better and easier to control the cooling; if it gets too hot it just kicks in more cooling. If youre afraid of your leds going to warm then just buy something with more watts than you need and run at 75%. You will not find a solution that has everything you want but costs are really low. Performance vrs cost always works in that way.

For full control of everything you can build your own led system: its just pcbs, dissipation/structure in aluminium and power supply and wiring.

Spider Farmer offers GGS Controller Kits that can be configured to a temperature threshold. When the ambient temperature reaches the set high-temperature limit, the lights will automatically dim to reduce heat.

What type of control output can be sent? Is it possible to use with other brand drivers like meanwell and inventronics?

they have an adapter listed for 0-10v lights and for pwm controlled fans so would imagine with a bit of messing you could get more less any lights/ballasts running on these.

I prefer to do a hard cut of power with a timer/relay. 6 channels of control for less than 100 bucks is nice :)
yer im the same.. old habits from my sodium days. and not all my drivers are not dim to off.

but if you have a light that is dim to off these spiderfarmer controllers dont look bad.

Do you know if they can control levels? For example uv on 20% then 100% during midday hour then back to 20?
