Guys I opened the cooler and I got the hay smell :(. Is this normal? What could be the reason? And will it ever go away after few days of curing?
I had some hay smell too for at least a few days. But it has pretty much gone away at the end of dry. So I assume it does have some smell at the beginning because the chlorophyll is breaking down. I have read lots and heard it’s kinda common. But it goes away and then the good smell comes back after it cures. This is still my first grow, dry, cure so I am trying to trust the process.

Same here. First time everything. Glad I stumbled upon this DYI cooler for a first timer. Thanks for the reassurance my friend.

Hey no problem I separated some of mine, so I left some in the cooler to continue curing, some in a couple jars, and some in grove bags. I’m doing like a side by side comparison to see how each turns out then I can at least see if they have any major difference. That way on the next grow I’ll have more info.

How did you know they are done drying and ready to be bagged?

Has anyone had their cooler set to 55F in a space where it was below 55F? I'm worried it won't need to draw air in to cool the buds. Mine is sitting in my garage where it is between 48-54F. I could just be paranoid.
