I can’t imagine the frustration of outdoor growing. It’s been raining for days, just heavy constant dreary mist now, anything I had outdoors would have been shot. I used to be jealous looking at 15’ tall sativas basking in the CA sun, but on the east coast no way, and the more I watch it’s not easy no matter where you are. Someday I’ll get a greenhouse and give it a try, but until then I’ll stick to my little indoor grows.That outdoor growing is a real rollercoaster ride

Funny you should ask, I was just admiring it
It's maybe 30 inches tall and covered in buds. We have a mild forecast, just seeing how far I can get. Haven't seen any pest or disease issues. Still feeding from my indoor res.
Rebuilding the retaining wall in the background, added another course to stop my veggie garden silting up my rockery which can now get the full restoration it's needed for a while. Gorgeous day.

I certainly did not have the easiest go of it this summer. The reason I grow outdoors, is due to space limitations. I don’t have the footprint in my tiny urban semi to have my tent set up. So I do the winter garden up at my sister-in-law‘s place.
Lessons learned and frankly, I’m going to utilize this pop-up greenhouse more next year and reduce my plant count. My backyard is also very lush and can use a defoliating.
Look, I could be annoyed and frustrated and all of those things, but at the end of the day, I enjoy cultivating too much to let some squirrels and crappy weather get me down. Plus, imma have some smoke in a few months.

I have a 3 x 3 in the bedroom, plants in there are almost ready to harvest.
If the temperature ever goes down I plan to run clones and start seedlings in a 2x4x6 tent in the garage. For the next 10 days we have temps over a hundred. I haven't started anything new yet, waiting we are.

A hundred plus 12% humidity kind of dry heat.I think we have more then our quota of plant eating insects outdoors. Aphids, whitefly's, spider mites and bud worms to name the biggest culprits. It's fun.
At least it is a dry heat.

ONLY supposed to make it to 100 next week. This is getting really old. Sac set a record for days 100+ during the summer, better than being washed away however.

i'm feeling like a 6 today. the last of the rain should be just a couple of hours tomorrow morning, then no rain as far as the forecast can show. we got a lot of rain from helene; it rained all day friday, most of the day saturday, and yesterday, and then another soaking rain this morning. the plants are pretty drenched, but i'm letting them ride it out through the dry days coming up to see if they make it through. i released the ladybugs to deal with the aphids, then read more about the overall strategy on ladybugs as garden predators, and realized i likely just wasted $80 in purchasing them. LOL oh well. they're pretty to look at and they're enjoying themselves on the plants. honestly, i don't see myself growing outdoors again after this experience. i just don't consume enough weed to justify the time/money/space that i have to dedicate to the outdoor stuff. i'd rather have those beds for potatoes, beans, or berries. i'll stick to the indoor stuff. i'll get my tent set back up in november, and likely do a couple plants this winter. i still have almost a pound of flower from my earlier tent grows this year.
