Get you a full spectrum "white light" for better results. The general suggestion is 30w to 40w/ sq ft and that's what it draws from the wall...I think yours may only be 30w. They claim it's equivalent to a 300w hps or whatever their comparing to.....so a 3x3 would be 9sq ft x 30w = 270w light.
Although that light you have would make a great supplement during flower.

Thanks for that advice my friend, I appreciate it, if you have any suggestions on brands I'd appreciate it as well

Check your light to see how many watts it consumes....should be a sticker on it somewhere or a watt meter if you have one. If it is indeed 300w then use it for a few grows. If it's only 30w you'll need more.
