3x3 grow

What's your EC of your nutrients?
I've not used any yet. I hear ffof has food in it for a month. Botanicare calls for like 20ml per gal. I find that absurd..? What would u think? I'm leaning half that myself. At a guess. Also last runs I've used ppms. Is ec a better way of measuring?

Maybe a 6' outdoor plant I'd dump 20 on it. Lol

And I'm starting out w a near 200ppm. Should I take that into account on final ppm/ec? I mean idk if it's 200ppm of chlorine, chloramine, lead. Wtf knows

So I'll try to do weekly updates w pics. Once I up-pot they'll b problem free again for a month and a month of bloom. Then my issues will start. So anyone watching, just scratch ur heads for me n think of possibilities. Thanks everyone!

I agree. Don't change too much at once. And be cautious of how much cal/mag you are using with the dolomite added now. The combined calcium from the lime and the cal/mag can lock out magnesium.
Gotcha. Wasn't aware. So using 70% ro and from what I've read botanicare is low on calcium anyway, would u say 5ml per gal is good? Also my very 1st question was, should I add it on water only days? Using dolomite for ph buffer, didn't realize played such a big part in calcium as well.

See, to me lockout, overfed, underfed, the rest of it look all the same to me. I wish it was cut n dry. But it's not and that's why I'm here

EC is always the same scale, where ppm has different scales, so if someone says ppm we have to ask on which scale.

Going off your previous issues, when you start feeding, I'd start at lower dose, increase slowly .

Yes, 500 scale is what was used previously. Probably pushed 800 or more in flower to be honest here..I've read on that scale 2-4,4-6,6-8 hundred for start, veg, flower. That's what I followed. When problems occurred I'd check runoff ppm and it was off the charts, man. Rarely fed early tho, whatever soil I was using fed for me. Enough I felt anyway.

Yeah, if it's off the chart it would suggest a long slow accumulation..

Which is why it hits mid flower.

I'm a coco guy so can't give you the quantities and timings for soil unfortunately.

I've got my annual report from the city. I truly believe they lie about it anyway. Claiming ppm of 380 n I'm pulling 580+ off my bluelab freshly calibrated. I could be wrong, but I believe they are.
Its 380 at the plant but you have soo many km of pipes it picks up crap along the way

Makes sense. I'll mind my nutes better this round n maybe more water days. Idk. Trial n error. I tried coco route, I'm just so damn busy it didn't fit my schedule

I was going to get @cannabiscrusader help for ya also but already found ya. Nice bud!
Yeah man, seems some knowledgeable ppl on here. Seeing how long some have even just been on this site. My head constantly churns out thoughts. So I'm already thinking of solutions. The mention of dolomite w added calmag has me a bit concerned. Having never used either, now both. So we'll see. I feel I got a good crew behind me in just 1 day. Thanks for all ur help my friend

Yea man if you ever got time to look around thread people here grow amazing flowers especially cannabiscrusader has beans also. I use ffof also but outside so I'm learning here with ya,even use same soil so works out. The dolomite never messed with either especially with the ffof but you been doing this longer. We'll figure it out.

Yeah I buy soil I can afford to be honest. Ff was on sale locally so it's what I got. Best shit I ever used for takeoff, 1st month, was miracle grow if u can believe that. But I've tried lots. Looks like we're learning together bub. Even better. My inside is limited. Yrs of guerilla but that's easy. I don't like to use the words legal or illegal, but it's frowned upon where I'm at we'll say. So out into the fields I went. Talk about a rush!

Howdy. Thought I'd chime in for a sec.

Years ago I was in need of more space so I enlisted a friend/took over his basement and set up for max fun. To make a long story shorter...we did a few grows and experienced what you seem to be experiencing mid-flower. Everything would look good...then instantly take a huge shit.

I'm not a fan of adding in dolomite/ferts/etc in my mix. Once yer on that train you cannot get off. It's where the term "shit happens" comes from in my dictionary. Outdoors is the only place I supercharge dirt/add anything into the mix. Plants outside can process things faster/etc, IMO than indoors.
But I digress...

Hopefully the changes you've made will see this grow finish/work out for ya. If it does...change nothing.:D If it doesn't...on the next grow I'd go with the OF/a bit more perlite with no additions. From there, I'd be sure every watering was spot on on pH...like 6.2-6.5. The nutes will offer the plant all they can in that zone. And yeah...don't give em those recommended hero doses of ferts. It's a slow and steady game. If yer gonna push it...wait til flower. Even then...less is always more. And if it was me....I'd try tap water and bag the RO for a grow. It takes all the minors out of the water. (possibly causing problems?) Just a thought.

Anywayz....we struggled for a few grows at my buddy's place until we figured out we were seeing severe lockout after about 8 weeks or so due to the high pH. Got a pen. Bought pH down. Religiously tracked it every watering and checked runoff as well. After that, things leveled out.

I hope you can nail the problem. Just gonna have to ride the ride and see. Like was said above...you can't make multiple changes or you'll never figure out what is wrong. Best of luck!
