@DMChiz I've had my eye on this for a bit. This is the hefty line of global knives. Feels like a light cleaver with a little belly. I love the heft compared to standard Global knives. Most nakiri are smaller but this fits my grip and style.View attachment 5414543
That's a beautiful blade. I've been a Global guy for almost 20 years. Knives are such a 'feel' item that it really has to be comfortable in your hand. My Wife won't use them. She'd rather suffer through Henkel Butchery for some reason.

When we did our kitchen in 2020, I asked the millworker to make a few slots in the top drawer, sadly that's left 'ol paring knife, odd one out. When you do the reno, make sure to 'carve' out some space fo yo' blades ;)

Busy day for the ladster. Doctors appointment in the morning with pneumonia vaccine shot thrown in. I guess we closed the gate after the horse escaped on that one. Got all my plants in their SIP pots, we're ready to put them in flower in a few days.I'm shooting for 27 days of veg before the flip. The little plant is an experiment. I want to see how it does with 18 days of veg time. Potential SOG grow in the future.
Here they are at 23 days from sprout. Middle one 14 days.

Do the dogs need a hug afterwards?
Mine isn't a fan of thunderstorms, fireworks, truck airbrakes. Anything that shakes the whole house.
They are surprisingly chill about earthquakes. But fireworks and sonic booms really bother them. The last time I experienced a large quake (7.1) my dogs, cats and parrots all freaked but that knocked down part of our fireplace and did some other, loud damage. So was likely more the noise then the shaking. But it's been about 20-30 years between the large quakes. I'm hoping these aren't foreshocks.

Happy Hump day to all who observe. It's extra cool and refreshing this morning, sweatshirt and shorts if you keep Minnesota traditional apparel customs. My garden is rocking and rolling, beans cukes and tomatoes on the daily. I need to shear back all the mint I planted. It definitely seems to repel pests and it's nice to walk through it and get a blast of mint.
