Oh,yea I would be attached also but I would feel better knowing who was taking her. Still awesome she will be loved and taken care of right.

We decided to wait until the school year ended. Wife is on Sabbatical as of now until September of 2025. I hope I survive!

I convinced my neighbor to let me fog his yard too. And if some fog leaked into my absent neighbor's yard on an errant zephyr, oh well. Mudslide Slim, as I call him, after last year's stupidity.

I did end up driving vs. TTC as the rain was just one variable too many with a pack of kids. Even with this charity run bungin’ up traffic, I was back home from the game in less than 15 minutes. Urban living for the win - today anyway

It’s certainly come a long way since it was built in 1989. It feels more like a ‘ballpark’ now after the nearly half billion dollars in renovations ;)

The Jays muckety-mucks - Rogers Communications - spent upwards of $400M to revamp the aging Roger's Centre interior over these past 2 off-seasons.

The lower bowl once rotated to make the field more rectangular so both the Jays of the MLB and the Argos of the CFL could play there. But a few years ago, the Argo's bailed on the Roger's Centre and moved their operations to BMO Field - an already rectangular soccer stadium. The Rogers Centre became baseball only and the need to spin the lower bowl between the football configuration and baseball diamond was no longer needed.

So "Shapkins" ( a hybrid of Jays front office folks Mark Shapiro & Ross Atkins ) convinced the Jays brass to pony up the nearly $1/2B and redid the outfield last off season to remove what was known as "the outfield abyss". More home runs went into that abyss than into fans waiting hands. So they rearranged the bullpens and removed the abyss.

Then this past off season, they redid the lower bowl which included removal of the rotating stands and the underlying machinery needed to rotate it. They also replaced and re-pointed every seat towards the pitcher/2nd base area of the infield.

Maybe one day I'll get down there ...

Nice informative commentary. Last pro baseball game I went to was The Twins in the metrodome, an inflatable multiparty stadium. Had the ambience of a YMCA pool. Had a terrible crick neck after watching b ball in f ball seating. I never played either and know shit-all about them. Darts, Snooker and Golf were my games. My parents forced me to play tennis too, but I always hated having an actual opponent, it's too combative, hurling missiles at one another.

I remember the HHH ... snow did the roof in about 15 years ago. The Pontiac Silverdome met the same fate.

Liking the US Bank Stadium though. Don't think that roof is caving in anytime soon.

Haven't visited but the exterior is quite dystopian. 1000s of birds have died flying into its glassy exterior. Mitigation hasn't been sufficient. We are right on the Mississippi migratory flyway.

It’s funny, my youngest Son doesn’t really care about baseball and isn’t really sporty. He likes the atmosphere and spending time with his buddies. Game was just an expensive vessel for a hang. The Jays are a client of ours at work, so tix were comps. My eldest Son is the sporty one.

Edit: I likewise had no idea about US Bank and the bird issue. I’ve been a few times and it’s certainly an architectural standout in that ‘hood.

I have never seen baseball game in my life, even on TV. Not popular here at all. Tried to play few times but seems boring to me. I attended a criket game once in England, stayed for two hours and smoked some joints, and must say the sport is pure madnes. Now I only play minigolf with my wife, and footnet (footbaltenis). Chess sometimes, is it a sport? Discgolf presented here by TCH seems to be real fun, have to try soon, there are some courses around me.

Happy monday. On friday, i told the boss that I'm going to start looking for different work. Told him I won't leave until July 1 at the earliest. I told him that I will put in some extra hours here and there to help button up any work that he definitely needs my help on or anything that he wants to get done before I get out of there. We will see how his attitude is and how the work environment is going to be, starting today. Although, I did talk to him for about a half hour last night and he seemed to be in a pretty decent mood. I do believe that as much as he has been stressing about any and everything, it did not take him long to realize that he may be in fact better off without me as an employee. Because, that just leaves him by himself and the overhead alone saved in insurance would be a massive break. Let alone my salary, as measly as it may have been, it's still money to send out every month. So, I really see this going one of two ways. Either things go great and he Saddles up and we get a shit ton of work done the next month or he turns into an insufferable person to be around and I tell him that I will be leaving earlier than July 1st if he's going to make the environment poor. But, after talking to him Friday and last night, I think things are going to go pretty smoothly. Have a great week!!!!

Thanks. I'm weirdly looking forward to it. I have not technically looked for a job and probably close to 25 years. Really since I got out of high school. I was dropped a job in my lap out of college and since then, I just pretty much worked with buddies and people that I knew and had connections with. So, it's going to be a bit of a change. But, luckily I've done a little bit of everything, so I am very confident in my ability to secure employment. And, as Twisted as this may seem as little as I have made in the last 19 years, it will be really hard to do worse than I'm doing now financially. Lol.
