P.s. dutch passion has had some winners, wasn’t there blue berryI kept but it was decent. Like their orange bud, purple#1 only purple I ever grew but lacked in production and crosses never kept the color or that Beautifull perfume scent.good Durban poison, and can’t remember if papaya was from them too?

You have a good a taste in classics… getting nostalgic when I hear orange bud and purple #1, I grew up on that. Sold a whole lot of tenners of orange.

Never could get hold of the original from dj short was it?

[…]Could call it my blue gum I guess?
Yeah DJ Short’s the original. Unlike many others then and now, blueberry was actually something new/different.

And yes, that would be Blue Gum :D

I think I may have found my Hindu Kush x red PCK seeds, which was the original plan (beef up PCK with Hindu Kush first).
Had a solution in mind for that, beef up pck with hindu kush but looks like I lost my (sensi) Hindu Kush x red PCK seeds, which aside from strange does kinda suck.
Found them!.... the plants... well pics of, from 2017, not the seeds. Pretty sure those are gone forever. Strange cause I keep all my seeds in one place... left corner back in fridge.

Sensi Hindu Kush x Ace PCK.... I knew I didn't just dream of crossing and growing them... Still not fat but major improvement over PCK itself already and surely had potential.

Topped most of them over the weekend. Identified a couple of males, repotted most of the rest to half a gallon jugs.

Pretty good looking structure on this probable-male, P-F3.

Flipping to 12/12 in a day or two. Hopefully spot some more males so I can remove a few. Don’t need a male of the sh x pck, already have two sticking out for P-F3. I don’t know if the rockstar are fem or reg. Hoping for a good female I can pollinated with P-F3 and clone it to find a new red pck male from red pck x red pck next run. Things rarely go as planned.

Odd duck in the shxpck/wineballs plants, looks like SH or even original haze x SH. Structure, leaves, but also the lighter shade of green. Nothing pck about it.

Apparently I'm doing a stress test... I don't want to leave the lights on when I'm not at home for more than a couple of hours and I haven't been home much at all the past week. I already switched to 12/12, but then they got 24 hrs light, 48 hours dark, some 3 hr light days, it's been a mess. Tried to make sure they didn't dry out entirely but water and nutes regime hasn't been on schedule either. They look good though, little more stretched than usual, but they clearly lag behind. Looks like I got plenty of females so we'll see.

Sometimes I go through the mj problems forums, trying to help beginners. Truth is, I have no idea how to solve most of the problems. I recognize certain symptoms but prevention is the best cure, kinda like with covid. It just seems like most problems are not just grower error but grower effort. I’m lazy af and let the plants 99% of the works. Few teaspoons of A+B, few drops of ph- cause my tap is 8 point something. Light in moderation, or overkill plus good exhaust. As I recently suggested to someone killing his plants with love, get some peppers, tomato plants, house plants (I love grass lillies, they clone in thin air), to play and garden with. Cannabis plants are like cats, just need to feed and water them with some regularity and they’ll do their own thing.

Yea, I started all my garden veggies inside at the end of march. 15 Roma tomatoes, 15 mortgage lifter tomatoes, 10 green peppers and 12 corn. All doing well I need to plant cucumbers , peas, and squash this week. But I can’t put anything outside here till June 10th. 3 years ago I put them out June first as it was in the 60s then got hit with an overnight frost and killed half my plants so now I use caution and just wait till it’s all clear. Good will to all my friend and god bless

Pretty sure I’m going to stick with this coco-perlite mix (70/30) next runs too. Aside from less watering and less waste, it’s half the cost of pure perlite. Still using same nute, regular hydro AB.

There’s always this one lady:
5E6AC8D9-141B-4809-9227-B59944C8CB71.jpeg

Not a major prob but now I need to keep that container ‘fresh’. Could still transplant but just going to roll with it.

Bottom right (narrow fingers) is the whatever-haze anomaly. Not even going to think about how it made it in there, sure looks like offspring of the one original haze I made some seeds with but didn’t even finish flowering cause it would have gone for over 16 weeks. Still no sign of pre-flowers on it either. Rest in there is female except one. Also got a couple of males in the living room.

You just hand water once daily? How long can they go after a good watering?
The 2-liter / 0.52 gallon jugs I water only once per two days. With perlite it was usually daily. I hold the drain hole closed to make sure it doesn’t just run through it but gets some time to soak it up. There’s also one with no drainage hole just cause I forgot to make it. Still got 6 or 7 in small half-a-liter bottles I water daily. I planned to transplant them all to larger but yeah, I’m lazy. There’s 16 or 17 plants on 4x2feet… little more than planned. Used to be more fanatic trying to get most of the light and space but meh, as long as I finish the run without major issues I’ll have enough stash to last me till next harvest.

Going to take some clones from 2 of the Rockstar females tomorrow. And a couple from the whatever-haze plant. If the rockstar is any good I’ll do a clone run next run and pop a few red PCKxPCK to find a male.

That 70/30 mix looks like it’s the ticket especially if it’s a bit cheaper than straight perlite. Root ball looks really good and health plants as usual. I recently ran into big problems, first thought was leaf rot, so I set my room to recirculate air more often, then just as all was getting better,,,,,,the dreaded spider mites! Must have somehow got in through my intake vents, so I sprayed all plants with neem oil and I’ll spray a few more times over the next couple weeks. Fingers crossed thing go back to normal. Don’t need anymore problems or pests. Good growing

I tried 90/10 coco perlite a long time ago but didn’t like it. I need something more drown-proof lol. That’s what I like 100% perlite, just can never give too much. And it flushes out easily. Downside is it ideally is used in large containers only. Like 3-4gallon a plant. Still got big black buckets with a hole on the side in the garage but I can only fit 4 of those in current closet.

Sorry to hear about the mites :( I hope you get them under control. I think it’s the high humidity I usually have that prevents them from showing up in my space.

The irregular light during transition resulted in some unusual structures… if only I wanted clones from this one. With the varying heights and different pot sizes I need to change the floor a little, level the top out by raising some. Such a messy run but plants seem happy still.

Put the whatever-haze in a corner, stretchy af, can barely keep itself up.

It just doesn’t look like shxpck or my P cross. I’m guessing OTH (old timers’s haze, basically original haze) x silver haze. In which case this would be the female parent:

D3B1CA33-EB42-43E8-95D2-54203AA52270.jpeg

Ugh I miss growing on my hydroponic setup. Though knowing it would flower for 3-4months I transplanted it to a bottle with perlite, same size as whatever-haze above

Never entirely finished it, but:

Pink PCK mom is behind it in the forelast pic so they were created same run so yeah, we’ll see. Still no sex determined only increases my belief it‘s a seed from that plant. It all doesn’t matter anyway, not going to make seeds with it and if it takes much longer I’m killing it cause I got a vacation planned after this run.

Still no sex on this one. I can see the start of a preflower but too small to determine sex even with macro pic. Beautiful plant though, straightup one of the prettiest I ever had. May have to clone it still, whether male or female. I’m kinda hoping it will show some purple/red, which would be odd but then it would definitely be Original haze x pck.

The wineballs (different PCK parent than previous run, purple instead of red, and SH male instead of female parent…iirc… just growing these for stash)

Tried to keep this one down a little by pinching and bending but she’s not having it. Nearly broke her in two, had to ductape her,

That one is a bigger bottle which clearly helps… but then with 18 plants on 4x2’ it‘s nice to have a few in small bottles I can move around and fill gaps like these:

Clearly taking after its PCK parent when it comes to yield but it’s a pretty girl, smells like sweet red fruit. Vaporizer material…

The whatever-haze (highly likely OHxSH) looks to be a male. Kinda hard to see, need a few more days still. Calyxes on it would be slender and long as well but normally I see a tiny part of the pistils on photos at this point. If male I might have to drop some pollen on the above plant.

As in the PCK itself, in the crosses I made the red/pink ones usually do better

Rockstar below. Not a whole lot of smell from these (got 3 females). Nice color though.

Has to be original haze x silver haze, and looks mostly like original haze. The color, the leaves, the node spacing, I love it. Unfortunately, I probably won’t have time to finish flowering this one, got a vacation planned and it will go on at least a month if not more longer than the rest. Not that unfortunate, considering it has SH in it, but then it’s female haze x male SH, could be stable sex-wise.

Vibrant color but bud structure pretty bad on this one:

This one though…

Rockstar, lots of stem and leaf material, not impressed by buds,

My P-F3 doing what it’s supposed to do, make sure this run ends with effective and tasty buds in my jars,

Barely 7 weeks after switchting to 12/12 some of the PCK leaning plants are close to the finish

Got a couple of clones, not sure yet if I will give them a second chance in less crowded space.

And last but not least, the Old Timer’s haze x Silver Haze, such a beauty:

With some of the others nearly done she’ll be getting a lot more space for herself soon. Also harvested some pollen from a P-F3 male.
