Timer error

I have some Bubble Kush from Royal Queen. They are two weeks into flower with no signs of buds. There is a single pistol at the internodes but nothing more and no stretch.
After a little investigation I’ve realised that the timer wasn’t on 12/12. It was on 12:15/11:45. So getting 15 more than 12h of darkness. My question is, is this likely to be the cause of the plants not flowering properly.

How old were they when you flipped? Might be they weren't quite mature enough to flower yet, and so are taking their time.
I doubt the extra 15 minutes is stopping them from flowering if the 11.45hrs of dark was continuous.
Got any pictures?

They were probably about five or six weeks old. Around two foot tall. I’m convinced it must be the extra 15m of light. I just hadn’t realised that they were that punctual. I’ve obviously corrected the timer. So if they start to show the normal signs of flowering. I’ll know for sure and just re-adjust everything from the new flip date.
I’ll try and post some pictures later on when they wake up.

The extra fifteen minutes of light will not prevent flowering. Outdoor cannabis starts to flower before there are 12 hours of darkness. I think the change from long days to shorter days triggers flowering, not necessarily that the days are exactly 12/12 of light/dark.

The extra 15 minutes won't make a difference, most hybrids only need about 10 hours of dark before they start flowering, and some growers will actually flower on 13/11 thinking it might increase yield.

The one thing that will definitely prevent flowering is an interruption to the dark period. If your timer is a mechanical type, it couldn't hurt to give it a spin and make sure the lights aren't coming on at some point during the dark period (or if it's one with an "always on" setting, make sure that's not set).

And as said above, they might not be quite sexually mature yet. Are the side branches still symmetrical? Or have they started alternating sides yet?

For the majority of comercial avalable seed that you'll grow your hours of dark are enough to cause normal flowering. Youll be able to flower it on those times all the way through, though the proper times is simpler to stick with. Also it can take 2-3 weeks or more strain depandant of the flowering dark hours to get flowering going properly. Clone is abit faster than seed but what your seeing seems normal that your just seeing signs of flowering now
One other thing, are you sure they are photoperiod fem seeds or auto, as auto seeds wont mater about your light hours the flower when they are ready due to age.

I think you guys are right. It’s probably genetics. They have started to show a bit more today. I was just surprised that there was also no stretch. I’ll be interested to see how they go from here. I’ve changed the timer and made it so they are now getting 12:15 dark and 11:45 light. Just to be on the safe side. Thanks again everyone for your input. I’m new to the forum and everyone has been really helpful. ✌
