Could be older beans? Just assuming, someone correct me if I'm wrong.. As an example, the Orange Creamsicle x Western Grail seeds that were sent to CC (made in 2020) didn't make it whereas the fresher "Highlander" Freeze 7 seed did.. but that could have been environmental also.. It's tough sometimes, seeds get off to a rough start.. but with time in the proper environment, they usually come around. As long as it's nothing like fungi or bacterias in the soil that inhibit growth.. that's another story.

How did the seeds look? A humidifier and heater are a couple helpful tools for keeping the environment stable for plants.. an oil filled heater lasts longer (I think) and is considered more safer than forced air. A diy humidifier is a fun and simple project that gets you lot's of humidity in a relatively short amount of time.

5 gal bucket, 4" fan, 3 disk mist maker and float setup to an inkbird (or similar) humidity controller. You can also cut corners of ziploc baggies and place them over each individual pot (if small enough) to create lil humidity domes on the fly, works well.

That is great news to hear the plant is making it! The purple jelly (thin mint x jealousy) was a super nice plant and combined with rainbow belts, she should bring some terpy frost with gas on the backend, usual for Seed Junky's strains.. The harvested flowers have been curing nicely and the PJxRB cross is my favorite to open. Peace bro! Happy Sunday

Thanks bud feeling better now, inside is whole different game,I'll go with the dome made out of bags for now till humidifier comes. Never even seen what happens before with the other two seedlings the brown patches on first true leaves I squished and crumbled to broken pieces. CC said from low humidity got necrotic,the beans were smaller half the size of yours and a little lighter. Rh been 45 to almost 50 naturally now so hopefully environment gets dialed so others I started won't get stunted. If I use the Ziploc bag just put over entire plant don't poke a few holes in bag for ventilation? Thanks for everything!

Hey bro happy to help, no reason to sweat it, it's how we learn. There's more seeds to go around! Did you see anything that called your attention (from the pic of packs above) ?

This is how I popped seeds awhile back, cutting both corners for ventilation. Once they popped, I removed the baggie. You could prob leave the bag on until the first set of big leaves form then remove, basically giving it a humid enviro to develop a healthy root system.. the environment you have ~50% should be fine enough. Thanks for the offer on your spread I won't try anything until I can grow a healthy plant first. Yea the rainbow has a tiny spot like others hopefully will come back now that humidity is getting better and won't let drop like that again now that I know. From the light being on high for a week, humidity getting into 28 to 35,and night temps getting to 64 just stressed em. Unsure if can come back once it sets in didn't for the Chernobyl really hope rainbow does so excited about her. Feel awful if didn't.

From the light being on high for a week, humidity getting into 28 to 35,and night temps getting to 64 just stressed em. Unsure if can come back once it sets in didn't for the Chernobyl really hope rainbow does so excited about her. Feel awful if didn't.

The light being on high is most likely the biggest contribution to the stress of your plants, especially if in a colder environment. LEDs have lot's of light to give and if the heat is not there to support plants using that light, they'll start to develop necrosis/brown spots..

Are you using a 240w LED? If so, try turning the light down to 10 - 15% (for seedlings) and about 18 - 30" away from the tops.

The seed you have may come around, but all good if it doesn't.. No reason to feel bad, really. If it wasn't for me burning up my plants with LEDs, I wouldn't be able to share my experience & recommendation.. You can always try and pop more seeds with the adjusted lighting and see how that works.. sending ya the best of luck @Dboybudz

Edit: here's the 2*2 tent (for example) with a 240w LED set to 15%, 29" away from tops of seedling & clones, cooler temps in the low 70s/high 60s. These plants are in coco coir, feeding ~2.0 EC/5.9pH. Allowing pots to dry back before watering again, pots are light when picking up, I'd recommend doing the same for plants in soil.

Thanks man this whole experience inside with LED and closet was overwhelming I'd just throw in window sill and throw outside in a month or so. Outside is tough right now. They are hlg 225 watt panel full spectrum. I have 1 hung from ceiling from a 8 ft closet with 2 ft chains. I'll have to buy rope hangers to be able to move up or down. That's what I was thinking before seeing others grow being turned down and 30 inches away like you said. Yea I'll have to start more. Thanks for everything I baby em so it's heartbreaking.

Excited to post an update about these gals.. next round of seeds growing after a successful pollination.
Featuring Glitterbomb, MAC1, Gelato 33 in back and a Tuscan Gelato in-between two Grape Fog plants up front.


Tester spots will be opened again ASAP, once seeds are harvested and dried.. will keep posted. Definitely very appreciative for the folks who've opened their space for testers so far. Hope you are enjoying the plants!
