Great choice. I started with it just to steer the ship so to speak, but my mixes are never totally adequate - and the macros were getting ate up under a month, so now it's pretty much just maxibloom. Results are there for sure.

I've had the same 50 lb tub for almost 2 and a half years, and it's about 2/3rds full. Sweet value...
I use the red bale Pro-mix that Walmart carries. To that I add two 8 quart bags of perlite. I have found that good drainage is imperative. In the past occasionally I'd get a pot that stayed heavy and just wouldn't drain. The plants in those poor draining pots never do well. The extra perlite takes care of that.

That stuff is great! Same here. The bale is 112L, so by the time you dump in ewc, perlite and assorted fixin's it covers about 5 or 6 10G pots.
