Sips seem to be the way to go for organics. Problem I'm running into is the stages when the plant stops drinking for a minute, they become waterlogged and show signs of overwatering
I wonder why that is happening? I put very small clones into my earthboxes without problems. The beauty of sips is the plants will drink what they want so the overwatering is a headscratcher.
Never considered that issue with sips before (I'm sip-curious). Passive systems have their limitations.
I run a water only soil in sips and it's very simple. I do have to mix it myself but I use my own compost so it works for me. Limitations might be the amount of soil needed ( if going with water only soil) I think I'm around 9-10 gallons per sip.
They do. I'm basically trying to get everything to a point where the wife and I can take off for a few weeks. Everyone around me has a brown thumb, big mouth, or both. I'm thinking a backet inside a bucket. Drain out the side down low so very little water accumulates, with no wick. I can snap the lids on with a hole cut in the middle and a pac man slit. Ever changing, ever evolving

I heard you like buckets! I put a bucket in yo bucket son!!!!

I'm currently trying to figure out that myself. I need roughly 1-1.5 gallons h20 a day to be in cruise control for 2 sips. I'm thinking about just using a ecoplus fixed flow pump in a bucket scaled down to quarter inch tubing.

I made my own sips. 10g of soil, and 6g of water. I can probably eliminate the wicks I used, and add rice hulls and more perlite.

Doing a bunch of pheno hunts currently, so I'm using 5 gallon buckets. With hernia surgery looming in the next month ir so, I'm liking the 5 gallon buckets better than the 17 gallon tote. I don't mind having to topdress, I actually missed doing it. Sips are boring sometimes

I just put a sharkbite on the 1/2" cold water for the shower. Reduced down to 3/8. I'll be running that through a solenoid timer then to a manifold in each tent and cabinet.

Wow! The wind is wicked strong right now in Massachusetts the electricity is probably going to go out! O well at least I will be able to make love to her in the dark lol she always wants the light on for some reason.
I just went to the store for milk. Finishing my joint in the driveway with the snow coming through the open sun roof. Heated seats. Nit bad for an 07 lol

Whatever they gave me after surgery in my neck was amazing. Dilaudid maybe? I had the little booster button on my wrist. Pressed the fuck out of that thing. I had some wild ass dreams. I had to kill instruments and drag them by their strings into a pile. It was like a bad Dumbo movie. 10/10 would recommend
