How Did You Get Your Nym

I'm getting fiber optic data in my house on Monday. No more dialup for me!
I feel like I've gone from the black and white world of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz to the World of Color!

Can't decide which one was the better upgrade, going from a 56K modem (got tired of screwing with an ISDN line, there's a reason they use those initials... I still don't know) to DSL or from DSL to fiber.

Netflix is now not frustrating and no longer angers me!

Ok, this might take a minute.

In the beginning I was Larry (tg). Here on RUI I mean. My Navy name had a different vowel at the end, but spell check changed that, so I've been Larry for a while now. So after Larry (tg) was in a time warp due to me not knowing my passwords and a laptop dying, I became (too) Larry for a few years. Then when the lockdown happened, I was at home and (too) Larry was trapped in my work computer. That brings us to the account I'm using now. Let's just say I had an extra pair of socks behind a thick layer of glass hanging on the wall next to my fire axe. And darntough just doesn't feel as good to the fingers as injinji.

Injinji is to the fingers, what Goji OG is to spoken word. Lots of fun.

I remember all those, and a couple of others! Always a wonderful friend no matter what you call yourself!

My family emigrated from Normandy in the 1700s to what was then known as Acadia, and were deported back to France by the British.
they promptly returned, settling in northern New Brunswick and were among 32 families subsequently ceded land by the British government in 1767 as reparations for having been expelled

Sweet thread! I always wondered about people's usernames, but never bothered to ask.

Started growing around 95'. 15 years old, and I was sick of bags full of twigs and beans. Saved the beans and got a hps parking lot light, determined to make better weed for my area. Boy was I retarded (born in 80, I can still use that word). I made enough for me and a buddy to last 2 weeks. Kept at it, got busted, wrote letters to senators, kept growing on the sly. Dialed in nowadays, and the crusade is going swimmingly.

Guessing with the Acadian heritage that they settled in the Edmunston area?

Not if you want to cross "The Bridge of Death". I was referencing the "Three Questions" scene from Monty Python & The Holy Grail.
Yes, I gathered as much although I've only seen the movie once

I'm more influenced by The Adventures of Robin Hood TV series from the '50s
