I love them all, but definitely lean towards sativas any chance I get really. When I was running my SOG I really preferred a hybrid to get the nice tall spear-shaped sativa structure, but having it covered with nice density frost covered nugs.
Next run im gonna hit some pure sativas i think.

Cool set up, I saw you describe it in another post a few days ago, but the pictures are great. I'm sure that works wonderful.

I think that sounds like a fun adventure :). I have been thinking about doing the same when I get my new room set up. Pure sativas require some training and pruning to keep managable but they are amazing when you can do it. I think it would be fun to play with some LST and training its been a while.

I grew some pure sativas back in early 09. They turned out great, I trained them into manifolds using topping and LST and heavily pruned them during a couple month veg. Then after I flipped them to flower I mostly let them do their thing, just removed any low stuff that would be larfy so it could focus on the rest. There are pictures near the beginning of my journal that show them. They went from about 12-14 inchs tall above the pot(kept low because of all the training) to being baseball bat-sized branches clustered with flowers. That's what made me decide to start SOG growing.

At first i kept getting root rot cause i wasnt watering enough, and it was dead ass july hot af! This will be run number two with this setup. Previously was using 55 gallon drum with a control bucket and 9 pots but had to downsize to just a meager 3x3 lol!

It's a funny thing about this whole "sativa"vs "Indica" difference in highs. I contend that a ripe sativa will get you stoned-stoned the same way any ripe weed plant will do. Back in the 70's most of the good weed was couch lock stone weed -because being stoned and melted into the couch is what happened after smoking. The more stoned you got, the better the weed was. No one was going out for a jog or doing any free-climbing...lol...just no. I think this is all just a sales pitch to make buying weed more of a connoisseur type of thing...The whole thing about sativa giving an "up" high...whaaaat? If anything, that might just be because sativa take a lot longer to ripen...growers get impatient and harvest early...the weed isn't ripe, so when it's smoked, it isn't getting anyone stoned...so it gets interpreted as an "up" high...which is, essentially, not being stoned. But, if that same sativa were to be allowed to fully ripen, then it would be as stoney as anything. Also, I imagine if you harvest an Indica to early, you'll also get an "up" high, too. But that is the attractive thing about Indica -they WILL ripen in less time. So, more people are getting ripe Indica weed and getting heavily stoned -as opposed to getting underripe sativa and not getting heavily stoned and calling it "up".

But I do agree that there are many, many terpene profiles that can make the experience of smoking very pleasant or very unpleasant. And, if you have one of this great flavors sticking inside your nose, I think it enhances the good feeling -regardless of the THC level. A good batch of old school weed didn't have nearly the THC, but it had more of the good flavor...because it was ripe.

Yea I agree but I do find when I smoke most sativa it gets me going with energy and when I smoke some indicas after same amount of time I would start to yawn and get tired. They were talking about fixing this by more research to stop picking only because it says hybrid or sativa and such. Like terpenes and lemonene pinene linalool all these things. One indica that I do get energy from amnesia.

All weed smells like wet grass around 4-5 days of drying....the difference is that good weed will start to smell awesome after proper dry and cure and premature crap weed will always smell like crap weed

Hello to the community , i want to ask a question . I'm drying some buds for 3 days and they smell like tea . I cant find another product to describe that smell.
Is this normal ?
Yes sir
If you have a tea smell, sounds like you have done everything Right I am scared every time at harvest! My stuff smells like hey freshly Dumped bag of Lawn grass. After dried and put in jars to start caring. You will think that the shit is no good Diligently
Pop the lids let air out for A minute, hour, or ? Until you think it is ready to go back for A day or two before continuing the cycle. After 2 weeks of this, you will know for sure that you are on the right track.
Keep up the work. Keep going until you're satisfied with the smell flavor and effect

I’m not saying you haven’t fucked up, I’m not saying you won’t fuck up, but I’ll say this, grassy hay smell during the early stages of drying is absolutely normal,

the plant is full of chlorophyll that needs to be broken down and must go somewhere, we want it to leave the plant, and that’s what you’re smelling,

when it’s subtle it’s happening slowly, when it’s strong it’s happening quickly,

aim for atleast 14 days with low temps and around 60%rh,

here’s something people don’t realise too, that loud as fuck terpy beautiful smell u get when u open your tent is your plant losing its terps, as they break down they too have to go somewhere, usually right out the door! This starts happening the second u start to cut the plant down. Lower temps and more precise control over humidity slows the process down. We want to find the middle ground between chlorophyll lost and terps saved.

I still got this tea like smell but a lot thicker , i dont want to smoke it yet .
This one coming up and i want some opinions about how much time to give her
Have to cut a tiny piece and look ideally with loop or a good pic on camera and zoom in on trichomes to see if got 80 percent of milky or cloudiness.
