TRUMP CONVICTED

Donald now has 3 codefendants in Georgia pleading out and ratting out, with no preview of the case against him and others, who will also probably plead out before trial. Meanwhile Jack can use 2 of them at least in his DC case against Trump and later against others. Both state and federal cases are synergistic, each feeding off the other to make both more powerful cases, since they cover many of the same events and conspiracies. Cheese and Kracken have yet to make a deal with Jack and he will squeeze them dry.

Chesebro becomes second Trump lawyer to plead guilty in Georgia
Kenneth Chesebro, an attorney who wrote a series of memos devising the Trump campaign’s alternate electors strategy in 2020, pleaded guilty to one felony Friday after reaching a deal with Georgia prosecutors in their election interference case.
Chesebro, 62, was set to go to trial on Monday and would have become the first defendant in the case to do so.

He has now avoided that prospect at the last minute by pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit filing false documents during a brief proceeding before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee.
His guilty plea comes one day after Sidney Powell – a former Trump campaign lawyer who was set to be tried next week alongside him – accepted a plea deal with Georgia prosecutors. Powell pleaded guilty to six misdemeanor counts and was sentenced to six years of probation.
A third defendant, former bail bondsman Scott Hall, pleaded guilty last month to five misdemeanor counts.

Like his two co-defendants who previously took plea deals, Chesebro agreed to testify truthfully in any future case proceedings and write a letter of apology to Georgia citizens, which Chesebro and prosecutors both said was already written.
Chesebro was also sentenced to five years of probation, 100 hours of community service and ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution.
He entered McAfee’s courtroom Friday afternoon flanked by his legal team after some 450 prospective jurors spent the morning filling out a lengthy questionnaire ahead of the expected trial.

Chesebro was originally charged with seven felony counts linked to the alternate electors scheme, for which he drafted multiple memos detailing strategies for how slates of pro-Trump individuals could falsely claim to be their states’ valid electors.
Under the plea agreement, Chesebro will only be charged with one of those counts, conspiracy to commit filing false documents.
The two Trump-aligned lawyers, Chesebro and Powell, became tied after they each invoked their right to a speedy trial, effectively severing their cases from the other 17 defendants and significantly hastening the timeline.

Chesebro had originally hoped to get his charges tossed through various pre-trial motions. But the judge in recent days had rejected those efforts on a rolling basis, denying Chesebro’s final dismissal attempt Wednesday evening.

Judge Raises Jail Threat at Trump for Defying Gag Order
The judge presiding over Donald Trump's New York fraud trial raised the possibility of jail time for the former president over his "blatant violation of the gag order" the judge issued earlier this month, according to multiple reports.

New York state Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron made the remarks from the bench after it was brought to his attention that Trump never deleted a post he shared about the judge's principal law clerk Allison Greenfield. According to the website Meidas Touch, the offending post remained on Trump's website Thursday night but has since been removed.

Engoron ordered it removed Oct. 3.

"I ordered him to remove the post immediately, and he said he did take it down," Engoron said. "Despite this order, last night I learned the offending post was never removed from the DonaldJTrump.com and in fact, has been on the website for the past 17 days. This is a blatant violation of the gag order. I made it clear [that] failure to comply will result in serious sanctions."

"Incendiary untruths can and have led to serious physical harm. I will now allow the defendant to explain why this should not end up with serious sanctions or I could possibly imprison him," Engoron went on.

Trump attorney Christopher Kise told the judge it was an oversight. Kise said the failure to remove the post falsely linking Greenfield as the girlfriend of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., was "truly inadvertent."

"The Truth Social post was taken down when the court asked," Kise told the judge. "Truth Social was taken down and Trump never made any more comments about court staff, but it appears no one took it down on the campaign website. It is unfortunate, and I apologize on behalf of my client."

The offending post that Trump shared was, "Why is Judge Engoron's Principal Law Clerk, Allison R. Greenfield, palling around with Chuck Schumer?" It led to Engoron issuing a limited gag order.

"I will take this under advisement, but I want to make clear that Donald Trump is still responsible for the large machine, even if it is a large machine," Engoron said.

Getting an early trial date in Georgia would be better for Donald, it would spare him appearing on TV in a jumpsuit for his trial there. It would also mean two Trump trials during the GOP primaries the first one in Georgia on TV perhaps starting in January. If she can get his trial date set for January, he will be a state prisoner when she hands him off to Jack on March 4th for some legal tag team action, Donald likes wrestling. She will also hand over her evidence and witnesses to Jack and provide him with some more levers to pry out the truth.
