Just dusted off my old Timber Fatty to do a run of some old auto flower seeds that I've had sitting around for up to 5 years. Using RDWC and Cultured Solution nutrients. Just as an Fyi, the fastest seed to pop was the oldest. The newest was the slowest.
The Fatty puts out about 900 watts over 9 individual cobs. I configured it with 5 - 1750k, 2 -3k and 4-k lamps. Average color temp is 2500K.
I've added two 4ft Solacure UVA/UVB fixtures and bulbs to it as well. I've grown photo period bud with light and got great results. So, I'm doing this grow to see how viable old seed stock is and to remind myself of how good of a job the Cobs do. I've been messing with some QB's and CMH's lately. Had good results with those fixtures too.
Of course a side benefit of my experiment is that I may get some tasty buds. In any event, I'll post my progress here.
I'm growing the following strains:

Greenhouse Seeds - Super Lemon Haze CBD
Sweet Seeds - Red Poison
Seedsman - Jack Herrer
Taste Budz - Mimosa

They popped 15 days ago as of today.

What led strips are people using these days? Are the Samsung f seris still current? I've got a few of them spare I was gonna knock up into some new lights but might change them up a little if there are new strios available!

Still a very good chip used on those strips. You can make pretty cheap configurations that are in the 2.7-2.8 umol/J range. Also I know for a fact they can handle good amount of abuse high currents on all the time.

What is the grow period for LED's..Does it take a lot longer. I haven't really heard many folk's talking about it. Really, any light is a good light for a plant, some are just more powerful than some. So descriminating against a certain light is just plain ignorance, especially if you've never tried them yourself, so all the hater's can pipe down! lol, for real

I have been growing on led lights for a couple years. They do the job for private growers not looking to grow a whole lot. Right now I have two led lights, 2000s. And one 1000. I am able to grow 2 bushes 4-5 feet high. I put two lights over head and then one light down lower from the side. The other side that doesn't get the light at the bottom, that part will likely be wasted bc the light doesn't reach. You have trim leaves to make sure light gets through the plant.,imo. The lights don't cover a lot of ground but they work great and the plants grow fairly quick. Right now the plant isgrowing like 1 1/2inches per day. . I will get more than a pound per plant sometimes bc I grow them large.
I'm looking for tips on how to maximize the light. There's got to be some growers who find ways to rig things up. I always thought imagine Led lights on big industrial fan blades that are like 25 feet long and would cover that area in light but when the fan goes on it goes so fast that it tricks the plants that light is everywhere. I ran into a problem where my plants are outgrowing my light lol.

Seedsman - Jack Herer -5

This has not been a typical grow for me. The various strains and how they react to the same nutrients is interesting. They range from an almost all Sativa to an almost all Indica.
The most healthy looking one is the smallest which is the Jack Herer. That one has been the laggard. It is also gets the least amount light.
The tallest is the Mimosa and has that classic tall, narrow leaf, smaller bud, Sativa look.
The Red Poison and the Super Lemon Haze CBD will finish about a week apart. They both have the mid width, typical hybrid leaf look are right on track to yield about what the breeders estimate.
The roots are in decent shape too other than a little bit of nutrient stain.
Using Culture Solutions nutrients at about 1/2 strength. Their amendments, UC Roots and CoCo Cal are at full strength. This is a pretty easy line to keep up with.

Im looking at the parts i ordered a few years ago in an email.. now I see that the holders are bjb for citizen clu048 series and luminous cxm 22

So i would need cobs that fit that holder and also works with the 133m passive pin fin heatsink for clu 048 / cxm22/vero 29

Seen this is an old post and you probably already changed them but anyways I ran into a similar issue I wanted to replace the cobs on my diy clu-048 rig and i found these cmu2287 they drop right into the same holders as the clu-048 and have like 2.5 times the output 240w max, and more efficient i think 82 watts is typical for each cob. I'm happy with em 90 cri are a little cheaper than the 95+ cri and a little more efficient the new pro 9 shit even more efficient but the spectrum is weird idk.

Phantom Photobio MX was my choice. Best light I could afford and no regrets. Consistently get over 1 1/4 lbs cured per harvest. It is very heavy so I got the kit to remove the power supply and get it out of the tent. You can find them under $700 if you shop around.

Good to have you on board haze. As soon as some others begin to give their input and experiences, you should learn and see a great deal of information.

There is a lot of B.S. out there, and I didn't realize it until I was out a pretty penny on a stupid 55W panel of LEDs. Things have changed since then, as they do, but only for the better, which is good.
