Any HVAC people. Winter time running thermostat to FAN ON mode

Okay so my house has poor insulation. I stopped growing weed in the basement which would heat up my main floor in my very small house in the winter (I used hps lights). This year I'm gonna set my thermostat (I got to have an HVAC guy move it from my living room to 2nd bedroom) to 52 degrees and heat whatever room I'm in with a electric oil filled radiator. My concern is that will my house being poorly insulated and the temps here in the winter can get down to 15-20 degrees is that my thermostat in the closed off bedroom will be kicking on and off all the time which I don't want bc its loud and I'm sound sensitive also my bill will be enormous. So my question is since my basement in the winter is gonna be around 60 degrees can I just pull that air down there up to my main floor if I cut a vent in the ducting right before the filter by turning my thermostat to FAN ON?? Can you do that in the winter with the furnace on or can that pull carbon monoxide up bc my water heater is right there.

Also wondering how many watts the blower motor uses in ON MODE only? I have a very small goodman furnace which is 2 stage bc my house is small. I read that it uses about 10% in ON Mode only compared to if the furnace or central air was running.

The blower fan isn't going to use much power, maybe a couple amps. Carbon monoxide shouldn't be leaking from the water heater. The heat that the basement is able to absorb from the ground won't be enough to heat the house if that's what you are thinking you'll be able to do.

No it won't be able to heat my house its gonna be 60 degrees down there in the basement. Like I said though I setting the thermostat to 52 degrees thats in the unused bedroom and gonna heat the area I'm in with an electric filled oil radiator. Is this possible or do people do this?

Thanks the model number of the goodman is GMS80604BNBE... THe thermostat is a basic honeywell digital thermostat if you need a pic let me know.

I don't want to mess with anything... If you could just guess the estimate of watts it uses with the blower on only. I don't need an exact wattage. Does the wattage change depending what stage its on with the blower on only?

Guess? Dude, you have someone here who seems experienced and wants to help you. He's not going to guess when it's possibly something he does as a livelihood. Bit of a slap from you.
If you insist on asking RIU for all these random home improvements, get your hands dirty. The panel cover is more than likely easy af to remove.

The blower can be adjusted most of the time i just was trying to see all the specs on the unit you have, no big deal dude! much love, gotta go to sleep now (its the weekend)
I install amana which is a goodman and daikin brand so i'll just have to look into how it works then I could help you. The reason I asked for a picture of the PCB and T-stat wiring was if the G is hooked up it is "usually" how its wired. Every brand of equipment even if it is very similar can have little differences based on the type of blower motor and the control wiring.

Since you have a 2 stage furnace i was just checking to see if you have an ECM motor on the blower which would allow you to adjust your blower speeds and on top of that I would recommend something depending on the Thermostat u have already. Just trying to help man. Gotta go to bed now but would be glad to help you understand and figure out what you could do to help your situation

I keep the one in my bedroom on low /setting 3 all winter long and it keeps my bedroom in the 60's. I mainly heat with a fireplace on the opposite end of the house.

You'll have to experiment, but the built it thermostat maintains a temp. fairly well.

Adjust the blower so its not as loud? To help my noise sensitivity due to tinnitus? That would be good thanks

I actually have 3-4 of them. I use to have rentals and I'd always have a couple of these on hand for emergencies. Mine are all 10 - 20 years old and all still going strong. I think they are all 1500 watt. They are great little heaters. Silent and dependable.

Noise bothers me too, and my houses propane boiler is directly below my bedroom, so the less it runs the better!!
