Neem Granules! And a funny smell

What’s up guys I used some Neem Granules in my coco when repotting my plants as abit of a natural anti insect as the coco I used was recycled and had been sitting awhile, never used the granules before but a friends said it was a good idea in case and worst case of the coco was fine it’s great plant food. Anyway did that last night and opened my tent this morning to a fairly strongish smell of what I would describe to be curry and urine, sniffed the pots and that’s where it’s coming from, could it be the neem giving off that smell while it breaks down ?

Ps the plants are only in their second week of veg no where near flower, have read it can leave a bad taste to the bud but the smell and and taste was never described
