We all witnessed the results of his crimes and his crimes and confessions in real time on TV and you Americans were his victims, all of you. Everybody got fucked over and therefore has a stake in this particular case and that too makes it unique. Donald Trump vs The United States just formalizes and addresses some of the attacks he has been making on America for years and now America is punching back, hard with a fist named Jack. He will never be held accountable for all his crimes or even a sizable fraction, but this and the other indictments he is facing and will face should be enough to put him in a cage until he dies.

The cult of Donald will end up like the cult of Elvis, there will be sightings and perhaps a religion devoted to Cheeto Jesus. Personally, I hope they are camped outside the supermax in Co for years to come, waiting for the gates to roll open and the messiah's second coming.
