This is the tender spot where Ukraine will force Vlad to use the last of his reserves and hit them somewhere else when they are weak enough and starved for supplies and ammo with morale at rock bottom. Meanwhile they are shaving off large areas of the front and demining them under the cover of their own longer-range artillery, drones and counterbattery radars. The deeper they go into the defenses the fewer the mines, but the denser the Russian troops, most of the defenses are machine dug trenches that are sparsely manned. The Russians are becoming depleted in ammo and supplies with the Ukrainians hitting their ammo and logistics hubs far behind the lines and when they become weak enough... They can't keep large numbers of troops in defenses if they can't feed or water them, much less supply them with ammo or other essentials, even if they had them.

The Russians are holding the Ukrainians to trade for a peace deal at the end of the war. These five Russia wanted to hang. I am surprised Turkey let them go. This sends a signal to Russia Turkey now sees Ukraine as having the winning hand.
