It’s been a helluva a week. Lighting damage all over campus. The fire ball that came out of this transformer was impressive. 4F43DD88-029C-4741-9D48-AB56B6FBEDC1.jpeg
Lighting struck the same spot three times in less than twelve hours. We had power back on for less than ten minutes when the second strike blew up this transformer a hundred feet away. It’s a 480v , but for a short moment it was a lot more lol. I just hooked up a giant generator to replace it for now.

Now that's a party , good times ! I love shopping for a new mattress an hauling
it home or replacing a refrigerator, washing machine , stove, or clothes dryer !
It's so elevating .
My fukin landlord buys a new oven for the place . She wants to keep the old one and sell it on Facebook or some stupid shit like that but never follows thru. The new oven is stil in the box now in the laundry room for over 2 months. and the old oven still getting used. She came over once to fix the garbage disposal and said she would be right back with a dolly to move the old oven out. Never happened. Next time I talk to her I will be giving notice. Hopefully in the next couple weeks.

The weather has been so lousy here , in the high to low 50's with rain up the ass for days , I sat next to woodstove in my shack , consumed beer , schnapps and doobage while watching a great ass-kicking R rated movie . I did , however ,
track down and ordered components I needed for my 4th of July UFO spectacle !
( I'll even have great sound effects coming from my booming , Bose 901 speakers
that I will place by the lakeside in the woods ).

What are you doing out of the wilderness ! This " normal life " shit will will be a pain in your ass ! Head for the hills ! Paint on your warpath paint and live in a teepee near a beautiful lake ! Choose the path of an " Earthling " !

New patio screen door is in place. Need to do some tweaking to get it adjusted correctly. I need to pull the guard off the old one and put it on. The dog couldn't tell the door was closed and bounced off it. Luckily she was just walking or the door would have been scrap.

My Silky girl loves how the grill gives her traction to slide it open vs just clawing through it like the last one

Did you plant any "high heat var." this year?
Nah this is Sparta! I was too cheap to buy new seeds so I used the old seeds I had. Unlike everyone who plants them in full sun I planted mine under my Mulberry trees. So far I've eaten three decent tomatoes and have more ripening on my determinate bushes (Early Girl and Bush Steak). My indeterminate Beefsteak has one fruit and my Brandywine so far only blossoms. But better this year than last. I get a little further along every year.

I save all my seed packs from everything the same way....even my "dollar seeds" vegetables sprout the next year after year :D Will be starting some of the new cherry tomatoes inside for a fall crop in another month or so I think?

Those new atomic/black cherries, sungolds, chadwick, and something else. If we plant some larger in-ground raised beds I'd love to have the bigger fruits but I just don't trust us to get them before the birds/bugs do. At least with cherry versions they seem to provide enough for all of us ;).
