I found a tiny red bug dead on the carpet as I was cleaning today so googled it and it appears to be a spider mite.

I've never noticed any pests on my plant even the ones I just chopped. How can I get it under control before I get an invasion? Any chance its just a random red mite or will there definitely be more somewhere else?

Thanks

Did use the search before anyone suggests, couldnt really find much on how to stop a potential attack though

You get these little red spiders (mites) in the UK. Use to love squishing them as a kid. Harmless if that’s what it is and it sounds like it

Called clover mites apparently

Spider mites are a bitch to get rid of once they settle in. I use an ethanol based organic pesticide in the smallest fogger i could find and still completely exterminating them is proving a challenge. Most products only kill the mites, not the eggs so you have to come back daily for a stretch. They nest under the leaves so you have to come at the plant from all angles.

If you find webbing on your buds i recommend a soft paint brush to clean it off. Clean the brush afterwards.

Alternatively, clear the room and let off a flea bomb :)
