How do you use a microscope in tent?

So the "receding" are you saying they go from outwards reaching / spikey to curled up & closer to bud. Or do they literally retract into the bud. Still a bit confused.

Killer plants btw!
I'd say a bit of both, it varies from plant to plant.

The bracts/calyxes swelling is also important. I would describe it as looking like popped popcorn. If you harvest with all brown pistils, but the bracts haven't swollen, it will dry down to a bunch of hairs instead of proper "nugs" like you want.

I checked the pics in your journal, I'd say you're at the "brown pistils but bracts are still swelling" stage. You're pretty close. As long as you don't get any dead sugar leaves, I'd let them keep going and check back in a week...

Edit: adding a photo of "receded pistils and swollen bracts":

I just can't keep my hands steady enough using this USB camera inside my tent. Any ideas?

I don't use my scope for trichomes anymore. They don't tell the whole story. The overall appearance of the buds are a much better guage of ripeness imo. I only use my scope for insects now, which I haven't had any in a while, so needless to say, the scope hasn't been used in a while.

Thanks man. What would you do in this instance. Sugar leaves are proper crispy at this point, zoom in think you'll see what i mean. It's kinda at that line near dead.

Hmmm, all the ones in that pic are still alive to my eyes, but I see what you mean with all the brown specks. I'd want to leave it longer, but keep a watchful eye for if any go all brown or limp

Ok I guess I should put out there I'm looking for a functional/relaxing vape. If I let them go another 2 weeks, am I looking at couch lock?
It'll be fine. You should grow more of a sativa hybrid if you want a more functional strain. I forget what yours is. What kinda vape do you have? A lower temp will make a more functional high. Higher temps make it heavier. But it's mainly about the strain.

Wow You're right, with NL1 on this Pax 3 I get functional on power level/setting 1. And introspective absolutely any setting above that lol. Thought it was just me.

Also if I'm going more weeks, guess I better start feeding it more Liquid Bone Meal again eh? @PadawanWarrior
