it honestly seems to be a manifestation of a "Stupidity Festival"...i hate tik tok, so much
Every weirdo, dumbass, extremist, geek, freak, and slimeball with something they just need to tell everyone now has a soap box and a bull horn.
And that's before you consider the security implications...Chinese companies can't tell the government "No, we won't let you see our customers private, privileged information."

Article 7: All organizations and citizens shall support, assist, and cooperate with national intelligence efforts in accordance with law, and shall protect national intelligence work secrets they are aware of.
Article 10: As necessary for their work, national intelligence work institutions are to use the necessary means, tactics, and channels to carry out intelligence efforts, domestically and abroad.
While in reality they won't get much useful information from most people, banning ALL apps with a connection to china from ALL government equipment would probably be a good idea, and getting rid of tiktok forever would stop so much damage...Article 18: As required for work, and in accordance with relevant national provisions, national intelligence work institutions may ask organs such as for customs and entry-exit border inspection to provide facilitation such as exemptions from inspection.
