Is pandora free? I will check it out. Thanks.
I do 2 library cards right now for Audiobooks.
I also look forward to my one free credit on Audible a month. Not sure how I got that one. Listening to The Missus right now. It’s the sequel to the Mister. I love the accents of the readers, and how they describe the Albanian culture. Fascinating!
If you are getting 1 free credit per month, you probably have an audible subscription and are paying for it. Pandora is free with ads. They have a pay service but im waaayyyyy too cheap for that. Lol

You could spend a few bucks a month or buy a one-year subscription for a VPN and download music and movies for free using a bit torrent peer to peer app from torrents you find on websites. YouTube streams music for free and you can pay a bit for no ads or use an ad blocker.
YouTube wants my money as well. I use them everyday though.

I don’t have subscription from Audible. I think I was getting credits with Prime. I can kiss that goodbye. My library’s don’t have some of the audibles I want. Sometimes the wait list is like 8 people . The librarian here in town told me for them to purchase an audible for the library system they run around $200-300!! That’s crazy. Then she told me a way to get audibles on my kindle through a site called whisper. But she said it was kinda tricky and I couldn’t follow her. I am at the gym right now. Inwill catch up with later mate. I have to start
Focusing on my lifting now. Have a good one.

It's buyer beware on Amazon. I only buy brand name products from them that I can't get at brick and mortar stores. The reviews are hit and miss, sometimes they complain that the product failed when they used it in a way that the product description said not to do, such as use on gas flame when the description said not to do.

My biggest complaint with them is the way they have jiggered Amazon Prime so that it's not worth the subscription price any longer. A lot of people are on automatic subscription from the days when it was worth it and haven't noticed the increased subscription price. Amazon is just another company out for a buck. Their changes in policies toward returning items is a new one. Recently, I ordered one thing and received a completely different item. Amazon referred me to the seller who told me to send it back to them at my cost. It took several rounds of dialogue before they gave me a refund. Like you, they didn't even want back the item they sent me.
A simple stratagem is to avoid “made in China” where possible.

If it’s not easy to determine country of origin, chances are it’s Chinese crap.

The one thing that takes a bit of homework is that many trusted G7 brand names slap their brand on contract-manufactured Chinese garbage. If they don’t make it obvious that (article) isn’t Made In USA/ Germany/etc., the usual reason is China.

Beware of “assembled in” products; they were manufactured in youdontwannaknow.

I think I’ll quit Prime. For me a draw was their streaming service, and it’s become almost entirely stuff I don’t wanna watch these days.

I installed Pandora. The premium upgrade is 2 dollars cheaper than Spotify. The ads suck so I might upgrade if I like it , still saving $2 . You know what company are the biggest rip off artists….. motherfucking VERIZON!!! I was comparing my mobile unlimited plan 2 phones. Verizon wants $ 120 with my healthcare discount. I pay $62 with optimum mobile.

I still go into USENET via a service called NewsHosting that costs me $50/yr for unlimited downloads for movies, music, software etc etc. Pretty dead now compared to years ago but lots of stuff there. No ads or popups either.

Downloaded the only copy of the last Downton Abby movie, The New Era the other night. 27Gigs worth that took 9 hours with my slow wireless connection and the damn thing was in Italian with no English subtitles! DOH!

Got the phone company showing up next week to set me up with their wireless setup that is supposed to get me 50MBs download speeds which is over 50X the speed I get now. Living in the boonies has it's limitations sometimes. Should save me almost $80/mth combined with the Sat TV and landline.

My wife has been ill so spending a lot of time binging the old Dallas series on her iPad at a free movie site, fmoviesto.cc. I just got on there to watch Breaking Bad which I'm downloading episodes to my hard drive using Video Download Helper in Firefox and even paid for the companion app that saves streaming movies. Tons of stuff there but some misleading links it can take a couple tries to get each episode to load.

Too much content, not enough years left. :)

I’m canceling prime now, thanks for the info.
When I was living in a remote
Location I was kinda stuck. Not anymore. Finally, I can physically shop brick and mortor buildings. What a relief. They have a hobby lobby and Michael’s just down I 10 . Dollar stores are sounding more appealing these days as well. When the weather breaks and I save some money. Yeah.
why would you support hobby lobby ? you may wanna read up on that one

Does anybody read reviews to make decisions on how they decide a purchase? I have seen problems with the read the reviews mentality for a long time now. I read an article yesterday about fake AI reviews. Amazon has a very corrupt review system. They are selling complete garbage with reviews getting practically 5 stars with sometimes like 70,000 reviews. I like to start by clicking on the one star reviews. There are usually very few one stars for the garbage products. New scam I just fell into was, non returnable item. That took some time to recover my money. They didn’t even want the piece of shit product back! I am going to try to stop buying from Amazon. They have really changed for the worse for me.
