Dispensary prices dropping...

In my state MJ prices have dropped quite a bit. Used to be $50 1/8th . Now I'm seeing 1/8ths for $20-25 at dispensaries. Does anyone from states like cali, Colorado, etc that have had dispensaries around for a while seen fluctuations in prices up and down or has the prices stayed low? I'm wondering if my state will raise their prices in coming time or keep really low?

I just feel like more "affordable" options have been added, but the 70 and even 80-dollhair eighths are still a thing here. Even Cookies has something called "Turkey Bags" here which are in the 40 range, where most Cookies eighths are still in the 60-70 range.

what state? In michigan prices dropped crazy. The supply is too much. Often I see flower being sold that was harvested in the beginning of 2022.

It's almost the same price to grow it as it is to buy it. Smh
Assuming 1 tent, a 600w light, and a 0.5g/watt yield every 4 months (seed to harvest).

@ $20/eighth oz, you'd be producing $400 of pot per month.

Subtract electricity, water, and your avg. cost of recurring grow supplies (nutes, soil, seeds/clones)

For a home grower you come out ahead, plus you get to enjoy an amazing hobby, the fruits of your own labors, and likely better dope than you'll get in a dispo.

They really should. Seems many places based their initial prices on street value, but that doesn’t make sense with legal production. I recently read that Oregon has the lowest average prices in the country with a Z under $200. You see an occasional special at those prices in some local places, but that’s the exception. Glad to be liberated.

Prices in IL are higher than I wish I could be. An 8th is still $55-65 depending on "premium flower" or not. Really helping us chronic pain patients who prefer to be medicated daily. Someday I'll scrape together the change for an indoor setup! Can't keep supporting such high prices!

Prices are dropping worldwide not just the states, a lot of people growing and a lot of them growing cheap, it also shows in the product, mostly under powered LEDs bud with sandy resin.

Dope always had a price depending on the quality of it, not the price it took to make it,
Back in the day it was way cheaper to produce but people demended higher prices then today, that's where the graph becoms confusing to math and numbers guys, they don't understand how superior electric saving lights with ultra thc flowers can't bring the big $$$ it once did.
They say it's competition driven market...
Well, maybe in your country, in my country everything stayed the same (legality wise) but those ultra thc flowers that grow under superior energy saving lights sell for a 1/2 of what they used to.

There’s definitely lots of crap being sold in the dispensaries, but I don’t think it’s the fault of LED’s. More a product of growing techniques that are about fast quantity rather than quality. Plenty of great weed being grown under led’s otherwise.

I live in Vermont, where the state law says that any weed sold needs to be produced here. From what I’ve tried, the stuff being sold here is pretty good, but also not cheap. Luckily, my only reason for going is curiosity. Home growing rules.

Prices drop not just cuz of supply, it's cause this new hype train is on reverse.
